Have given Random Access Memories a few spins now and have to say, the Giorgio Moroder track is a real standout. Fantastic.
How did you get on in Mallorca? It's been a while!
Orbutt - I've been away and lurking in a complex mix I'm calling awurking.
Emmy - Mallorca was a blast! Great racing (if a little hot by the time I got onto the run), great atmosphere and free beer at the finish! Finished in 5:05:03, somehow setting a half marathon PB en-route!! No idea how that happened as I was melting and had to take a minute to have a little headcheck before pushing on!
Come on DV... some of us are waiting for a race report
No official confirmation but I think me and Yan were the first man/dog combo over the finish line out of a field of...well, I did see one other dog 45 mins after I finished. Anyway, he behaved well and stopped me from racing hard. I finished in under 1h29 fully aware that compared to the cute doggie in the fluo jacket, i was completely invisible to all spectators.
It reminded me why I like running early doors. Bl**dy hot and the canalside packed with doylems.
Doylems walking who suddenly lurch across in front of you...doylems in big groups who think they should take up the full width of the towpath and grass verges...doylems with uncontrolled dogs...doylems with bikes (especially those that take ages getting through barriers having not checked that there's a runner right behind them)...gangs of dope smoking scuffer lad doylems in their Rockports and tracky bottoms tucked into white socks...and worst of all middle class doylems with Steiner school educated kids on bikes riding so slowly that you can hear their drivel for kilometres on end.
marathon done. whilst the UK basted in sun - we had your rain ALL DAY from the minute I got up to the minute I left the motorway in Belgium. A new PB but I was completely soaked and after a few minutes my lips were turning blue so jumped in the car and headed back with the heaters on full blast.... Not after having consumed the finest German sausage and alcohol free beer!
Fantastic running this weekend, ATM, DV, Emmy, TP. Probably others but I've skimmed read. Well done to you all. Looking forward to the 100 mile report, DV, if you felt fine afterward does that mean you didnt push yourself. You're amazing.

On reflection, that sounds like I think DV isn't a mammal, which isn't what I meant at all.
DV is going round and round to the tune of 85 miles so far...at 8am he was in 2nd place
* You were right, first time, RR*
When does the 24 hours end? Can you pass on our ' dig in, DV!',s, yer_maj?
YM - how are you tracking him?
Orbutt - by the power of text message stalking...
He's finished - I shall let him take over from here....

Great running everyone. I can't even begin to contemplate running 100 miles!
I had a great time out hillwaking up north. This weekend appeared to be our summer, as I even managed to get some sunburn!
