SD - funny you should say that, I was just thinking I might pop down on Sunday morning and watch. Might take my bike and/or run kit and have an explore of the area. It's supposed to be nice down there (never been myself). Are you going?
2.5km swim + 4 mile run this evening while everyone else in the country was watching telly!
Spoons - I'm doing the super sprint at 3pm tomorrow.
Have to take daughter to one of her Karate classes on Sunday mornings, unless i'm doing an event. Thats at UEA so i get a little swim in while i wait though.
Rain now vanished off the weather report for tomorrow. 23mph wind & 19 degrees.
Bedtime. Good luck everyone who's doing events this weekend. Look forward to reading everyones race reports.
Mata - wine doesn't count as training I'm afraid only recovery... Hope you're planning on doing some today?!? (that's pistol squats NOT more drinking!)
Just a quick question about using the event search for tri's, does anyone else have any problem using it? When I search using the triathlon search it changes back to the running events search.
BBT - I get the same thing. There are nuch better sites for search. TriTalk.co.uk is OK and I've a couple others mentioned but can't remember what they are!! I they spring to mind I'll let you know!

My first mass open water start which was an experience. Went with the wetsuit in the end as the water was very cold. Lubed up good and proper, wetsuit came off with relative ease. T1 2: 46. T2 34 secs Bike was my strongest as usual. Averaged 19mph + over 14km despite being slown down to 10mph at one point due to the head wind.
Finished in 59.56 i think, will have exact splits tomorrow or monday.

I'm sure its never your fault mate - the Fairy must be mistaken - every time

All the best for today, SD.

well, in that case I'm well recovered this morning!!
Ok.. Will attempt something vaguely resembling one
Morning rabble
Good luck SD
Morning, might have to change the training plan for today if it doesn't stop raining, 2.5 hours on the bike doesn't sound fun without water proofs

Gas is right. You'll just get an over-developed drinking arm, and end up swimming in circles. Ask Raf, he's the expert...................!
yes, but the trick is to chose Tris with lake swims with a circular lap - then you just try an swim in a straight line!!
Cheers Raf
try findarace.com but they seem to be down at the moment
another good source as always is the BTF site itself
and the usual suspects
OneStepBeyond
HumanRace
etc...
Evening all, thanks for the support this morning.
Weather turned out ok apart from the wind.
