re swimming - I am a member of a lake that is open 365 days a year. This year I was happy to have a few pirates as my guests for some training sessions. I am happy to do so again in 2013 if it helps people get in the water.
Rafi ..once we have the appartments sorted ie: once we have found an agent, once people have found a roomie then you can pretty much please yourself flights/dates wise
It seems that (obviously) all regions differ flight wise, but as long as you are there for race day and beer day I dont give a monkeys

When I was pricing up today they all seemed to be around ??300 once you started adding luggage. That ??162 job would be an extra ??20 each way for a suitcase and another ??20 each way for the bike.
Thread hijack to say that I am hoping to send off a kit order at the end of October. There may not be sufficient interest for another order until this time next year so if you are debating kit, now may the the time to pop over to the kit thread and put your name down.
PS. It is unlikely that another kit order will be going in before Lanza 2013. Similarly I cannot guarantee an order before Outlaw or Challenge (it all depends on interest)

Agreed Barlos, perhaps Beacon Hill would be better ... just thinking of ones that are close really
Ferret, am sure I can out together a nice Chiltern Circuit !!
No training till the New Year though, otherwise it's cheating
Is there any planned dates for booking apartments for Pirate accom - as this obvioulsuy influences when flights should be booked??

I'd be up for joining you on training rides. I need to practise hills too
Aer Lingus has flights posted from Dublin @ approx £190 return + baggage. I was thinking perhaps Mon through to Wed week.
Bike is 40 Euros each way. Baggage is 20 Euros per bag each way.
That adds up to approx £320 for me, bike, 2 bags.
It seems there is always a premium to pay flying from Ireland . How does that price compare to others from mainland UK?
£162 from birmingham with monarch.but thats without any bags or bikes.....don't need much apart from a bikini
I'm doing the Birmingham flight I think. Seren, are you doing this???
Is it heated ??
No............I'm just dreaming that to be a supporter would be good...........I'm doing outlaw next year
I'm on nights tomorrow so I will do some digging for the appartments !
That makes my price seem not quite as steep as I thought, thanks Seren and Mouse. I'll reserve it tomorrow (oops, later today ) and book it next week.
I'll leave my bikini at home Seren as I'm trying to cut down on luggage .
If anyone wants a lumpy training ride darn sarf, lots of long horrible drags, I can help.
After spending weeks deciding, I've gone for a 2012 felt f6, got 30% off at wiggle, looks a tidy bike anyway
Just out of interest, who's doing this on a road bike and who's taking a TT?
I dont have a TT
Got my bike ready......
I'll bring you that new tri suit you were after.
... and the wetsuit ..
I think M...eldy's newest broomstick might be about that young Jedward
VT'd - cheers, that just the colour I was after, and those new natural running style shoes should make the marathon fly by!!
got to save some surprises for the day Pingu....but you won't be disappointed
RAFI !!! I heard that.
Pfft, why can't I insert a picture! Fecking puters ...
