Its Fegan's idea, so these are just my thoughts, not the official line, but I would think: - just middle and long distance - just triathlon - Rafiki - no, the discount codes could be posted on the website and the Facebook page and would be as open to all as buying the kit currently is. No need for membership or rules - Prince Siegfried - not necessarily.
I'm not sure about this, but then I have a morbid fear of change.
On the subject of kit, though, I was offered some free kit for last month's adventure, sent them a photo of my pirate kit, and got a much-modified but actually quite nice design back. I'll post a pic of the design in a minute, but will take it down again in a short while (what's the editing window?) as it's got my name on it and I'm shy...
(The final version had an extra skull'n'crossbones on the back, and I'd probably have preferred it in black rather than white).
Flyers - that would make sense, would this mean there are chosen races that the team would target or is it still up to the individual to choose their own races?
I did feel a bit bad about it, but it was pretty amazing to be given it free (2 sets), and I imagine the design could be changed back along more traditional lines. It's cool having your name and a Union Jack on your bum, though .

Anyway, I'm taking the pic off again now (I hope)
Nothing to feel bad about I was just joshing you Joddly I thought it looked great and as we are one big disorganised blob there is thank ghe lord no Pirate TM
Seriously though, I think it is a great idea. A bit like a 'works' team. I think it should apply at any race distance though, and not limited to those that can swim.
I saw that kit on the telly joddly, and thought it looked great. Although obviously I couldn't see your arse.
My main problem with this is that, as has been pointed out already, if you're offering free magazines and discounts, you need to make PSOF a regular club, or you'll get everyone claiming to be a pirate to get their discount. If that's the consensus then fine, but I prefer the informality of the current way of things.

Now you see ... and this might be another avenue, I thought we were talking Cycle Teams for races, that could be interesting !
That is some smart kit jods.
Not sure there's enough 'yella' on that kit Joddly! Perhaps if the yellow and black on the top were reversed? Still with the black skull though!!
I'd imagine GB would appreciate the yellow being reversed on the shorts for obvious reasons, but not sure about the rest of us!!
I'm not liking that .... but I too have a fear of change

Jodders you have defaced the "sacred" kit with advertising it looks great really like the top any mediums going spare

I'm not having Dave's name on my bum either.
Why not Dave? Your arse is big enough
Dam, missed the edit window.
Would it be too much of a 'dart board' then Dave?!! Or you frightened the 'font' would be too big!!
yes, yes, pot/kettle!!
Sorry Jo but I think the edit window passes as soon as you do a second post but I may be talking out of my proverbial
Anyroad, I am orf to bed, will be interested to hear some more views tomorrow, I think it is quite exciting

I am sure I remember a picture of Iron Rose racing at IMW in black and white pirate kit which looked very good.
Night Night Melds i am off as well 5 am start
Melds sounds like a good idea indeed!
Joddly that kit looks badass! Think it might need a bit more yellow though
Good night all!
Nope, not me, only the yellow and black.
I agree - more yellow... and black. A starting point for discussion, perhaps, and an idea of how sponsors' logos could be reasonably subtle.
I wish I could swim as well as Meldy!
Discrimination!

Sorry. There was definitely a picture of someone fast looking in a black Monaco with a white or silver skull, or I am going slightly mad.
