fantastic sweetie. a breakthrough nutrition week, i like it. given the amount of varied food i've stuffed into my self without going over 13 stone i think it is a bit of an achievement.
I doubt I'll be racing. Since Bala I've done one slow bike ride and about three 30 minute runs. I couldn't walk after the last one for a couple of days.
So, unless i feel krazee next week I won't do it. But I'll come along and support - it dovetails well with visiting the outlaws.
Didn't see this fred before, but me and the sherpa (aka Ironing Bored) are both entered. For me it'll be my only warm-up tri this year before tackling the vineman. I think the bike course goes up Harby hill (three times) which is pretty sharp.

well done oxy - maybe i should do this. i'll ahve a think next week about whether i want to destroy myself or not. really i'm supposed to be working hard for some pesky exams.
i like the idea of those 3 miles being training for the last 3 miles of the race.
JD - I don't know what your problem is - it's ages 'til the race. I thought the answer to if you wanted to destroy yourself was pretty obvious - of course that's why we're here.
3 miles was more than I could manage 2 weeks before IMDE.
haha, yeah, i guess i could fit in 4 days of training and a 2 day taper. not sure i can fit in my wetsuit though. i'm expanding faster than my pregnant boss at the moment.
Just found out my Club tri suit isn't going to be ready in time for this weekend. So I may be in pirate gear.
I've got the day off on friday and I'm in a quandry as to whether to taper for sunday or do a 3hr turbo session (obviously it'll be raining so a long outdoor bike is out of the question).
Cool - see you there Toucan. 3hr bike seems a bit rash. I've done nothing now for 10 days. Great taper. Planning one half hour run and one half hour bike this week...
I've signed up for the Little Beaver (I've never done an Oly and wasn't really up for a full on Beaver). I'll be thinking of all the half-IMers still grinding out the hills while I'm tucking into my post-race burger and chips!

I did wonder what kind of beaver would let that many people enter it.

Holly's beaver training this week:
Run: 3 runs, total 19.5 miles
Bike: none
Swim: none
Think I may have my focus a bit skewed.
2 x 4 mile run.
Eating.

Anyone else fancy a crack at the beaver?

My first week of taper has gone better than I could ever expect...usually I overdo it, but this week I have done nothing. Absolutely nothing.
