Melli - totally gutted for you - shows that sh1t can happen to the very best of us - respect for battling through - hope you've found a good bar and that the beer is less than 8 euros! Looking forward to seeing you in Zurich - although I very much hope I don't get to see you too close! Hope you get to take the positives from the race - that swim was pretty nippy and T1 was red hot (and I've yet to see your bike time...)

Oops - sorry - didn't know I was bringer of the bad news - only got a short txt so far - sure Melli will be online with longer story later - short story is something about an asthma attack and a medic who was brave/silly enought to get between Melli and the finish line
Melli's disappointed - but sounds like it was just a case of sh1t happening and sounds like not a lot that could be done different - she's still a kick arse scary (but nice) pirate and I'm sure she'll be back.

and huge commiserations Melli - what a bummer
What I'd really like to do is to take a big group including Rosey, Rich, CRAB, Cartman, Dr Mike, TC* etc to Bala next year with the sole purpose of seeking out that (otherwise very sweet) marshall who said to me: 'You pirates are all very slow, aren't you?'
*Don't anyone get offended; this is not an exhaustive list, just one off the top of my 'ead.
