Introducing the first member of our 2008 FLM Dream Team... Sezz.
Sezz's goal is sub-4:30, based on her four-year running history which includes a half-marathon PB of 2:05.
Steve Smythe will coach Sezz directly on this thread and she’ll be posting her training progress on a regular basis. Feel free to ask questions and leave your support, but please try not to hijack the thread.
You can read more about Sezz - and the other runners and in our FLM dream team - by clicking on the article link at the top of the thread.

Thanks Nick and thank you RW for letting me be part of your team.
Feeling slightly scared about the huge task ahead but also very excited. Now that I've got everyone keeping tabs on me, I've got no excuse to get out there and train properly. I've just read that one of Rich's weaknesses is chocolate - I have to say it's one of mine too, but if I really want this then choccy is going to have to stay in its wrapper!
How exciting. Someone I know being part of the RW team
Now get your *rse out that door and go for a run
Go for it Sezz...
Good luck!
Good luck Sezz - all that extra training you're allowed some extra choccy
xx
Good luck Sezz.
I'm aiming at sub 4:30 myself so I look forward to comparing my progress with yours.
AndyA - that's the beauty with what RW are doing here. Sezz training and the advice from Steve Smyth will be posted on here so everyone can follow and benefit from it.
Ace idea all round I think.
Listen to what the wise coach says and stick with the program. You will be surprised by what you can achieve under a few watchful eyes!
All the best, another choccie fan.
Thanks Wardi,
I'm a fair it behind your girlie. My running went a bit pants up since my 10k and half PBs - i think partly due to not attending a club anymore (cost, time etc). Being in the club pushed me, even if I didn't realise it ,whereas when running by myself with no real structure I obviously wasn't pushing myself enough. This led to some poor results for me, leading to a lack of confidence and a downwards spiral topped off by a disastrous Lochaber marathon last April.
Hopefully now is the start of the upwards spiral
But I will throw up all over you Hollywood.
If I may.
Good luck Sezz!
Thanks guys.
I've just been for a lovely run. I've been following the RW countdown schedule on the newsletter but only loosely as this is the first week back running after 3 weeks off with bad cold and cough and I want to be as fit and healthy as possile in readiness for the start of the schedule proper. Nevertheless, I did 6 miles this morning, took it easy and really enjoyed it
I was running along thinking of lots of things I need to ask Steve as we progress and I also thought that on every run I do I will try to think of a different reason as to why I like running.
yes good luck

good luck Sezz - I will be following your progress.
I hope you think of loads of reasons why you like running, that's a great idea!
