I am aware of the commercial contraints. Imagine the look on the faces of the finacial backers if Cameron would have said 'you know, this action thing is getting a bit old now, let's use the gazilion shiny coins you guys gave me and do something daring with equal potential to be utterly boring as achieving fascinating greatness'.
that one above looks like he would spend too much time on himself........he hasn't got a glint in his eyes from that photo........i always a sucker for eyes
JEEZ that Avatar review was nuts. I'd kind of think that counting the swear words would distract from enjoying the film ?
I dont remember it being a gorefest at all ? I liked it - its a fantastic planet he's created and you do lose yourself in it. Me and my 10 year old loved it anyway.

When I said it was a brilliant review, I didn't imply it was written by a sane person. We're on a D2D thread after all...
To be fair, the film may be 2:40, but with 25 mins of ads and previews before it's a 3hr+ programme. But you can take off 10min for the credits unless you really want to see them all.
As far as I'm aware my local Odeon doesn't restrict the 241 to 2D films. I think they're just gratful to bums on seats.

PhilPub, your 3-word review was pretty good too.

Aww whats wrong with the way he looks, nice and huggable. Wouldn't you like to blow raspberries into his belly button and watch it wobble.
in response to D2D's comment
He doesn't look fat to me just cuddly............

Shallow!
He probably spends way too much time at the gym and you'll never see him.
Hmm - yes, not saying that's why he appeals to D2D but....
LOL @ Screamapillar.
When I was in school - back in the Dark Ages - one of the biggest insults around was "Takes one to know one".
Edited for PS
PS It's N O T H - thought writers liked to get spellings correct?
well I reckon he'd know what he was doing so I'd give him a go. (Chris Noth that is, not the rack of ribs)
Chris Noth is rather porky these days, but i'd give him a go. At least you could have a conversation with him before and after.
But i'd also do Mr Himbo. Sometimes conversation really isn't that important..........

I went to see Avatar on the bribe of nachos from the bf, really didn't want to see it but was pleasantly surprised.
It is 2hrs 40 not 'over 3 hours' as D2D stated, no wonder she gets her timings wrong on running!

When I went to see it we didn't get any ads or trailers, just went straight into it. Result!
blimey this thread has 'evolved'.
I thought this review amusing.
