Has any one got a record of how much total climbing we did yesterday? I don't think I've got it set up on my Garmin. Just interested.
Hen I will plot it on Memorymap and see, I have been trying to do it on Bikely but that is playing up. The course evolved from the planned one after Groombridge but I don't think it is much different from that which was 1370mts. I expect somewhere between 24 and 27 metres a mile, that's 2688 to 3024 for an IM distance ride so everyone should be very pleased with their acheivement
Has anyone got a rough actual ride time as my bike computer was not working?
Right, managed to get a proper route off Bikely and did one on Memmap
Bikely has it at 81.7kms with 1325 mts climb
Memorymap has it at 81.5kms and 1449 metres climb
So distance was about 50.7 miles and taking an average-as bikely is usually pessimistic and MM is usually optomistic the amount of climb was about 1380 metres.
Well done everyone, especially for getting out of bed on such an awful day to do what was a wet, chilly and slightly upflat ride. Can't wait for the next one
TG- there are plans afoot to do the Downs link at the start of May, I've not seen anything planned for March.
Smithy- my Cateye had the ride at 4:23, this is riding time rather than elapsed. I suspect this is on the longer side of estimates you may get as I was normally towards the back of the group.
AH.....you missed the flashing or Flat Footed ar$e as it was once we had been seperated into two groups......luckily for me, I happen to be in the right group at the right time!
I was quite impressed that FF managed to do a moonie whilst riding up a hill though and stayed on the bike. He's a real pro.

Feck loads.
I have also just recalled Flat Footed flashing his ar$e at one point. Smiffy missed it but luckily I was looking in the right direction for a change.
What about ride time?
Garmins are a bit pessimistic so you did even more climbing than that

Wow!
When is the next one...... know I have seen this thread
Havn't been on RW much in the last month or so
Sould really get out on the bike I suppose
Well actually that's quite a good amount of climbing in a relatively short ride, isn't it? Feeling pleased about that.
Saffers - when you say FF flashed his arse...???

I had a great time yesterday, thanks to everyone for making it such a fun day. Still gutted we didnt find any hills!
Thanks for organising Smithy

I was just enjoying my lunch.... until I read that last bit about FF!
Glad I was in the "other" group!
I'd forgotten about the horse - it seemed most intrigued with AH!
Sounds like fun, apart from the rain. Might have to make a guest appearance at the next one
