I am happy to see if there is sufiicient interest in ordering some PSOF swim caps for the newbies amongst us.
They are PSOF yellow and have the skull and crossbones on each side.
I can't post links to previous thread but I did find last year's where they sold for £4 each including P&P.
Minimum order is 25 so if I get enough interest, I am happy to go back to the supplier and get a better idea of costs.
So, if you're interested, chuck your name on a list below....

Agree with KK, I too have a couple of the original caps and they are very thick and not very comfortable to wear, so I've not worn mine much either.
Yep, me too. I think i have worn mine twice. They are so uncomfortable. I feel like my head is in a vice
Happy for you to investigate other options on swim caps and put it up for discussion

GingerG (Theres no point hiding anymore.....I might as well just fess up and admit to all involved that I am heading down the route of insanity and am on a one way street to Ironman!)I utterly hate those horrible nasty rubber swim caps! Horrid things!
Can i be added to the list too please,
Just to add to the debate - the current, thicker ones are a lot better than the thin ones when the water is a little nippy!! And 4 quid in the grand scheme of things ain't much!!
I have heard back from our normal supplier and the facts are as follows
Silicone
Cost per cap - £3.36
Minimum order - 25
P&P to me - £9
Artwork costs - nil
Postage to pirate - whatever 2nd class letter post is. 50p?
So looking at £4.22 per silicone cap including all P&P
Latex
Cost per cap - £1.02
Minimum order - 50
P&P to me - £9
Artwork costs - nil
Postage to pirate - whatever 2nd class letter post is. 50p?
So £1.70 per latex cap including all P&P
the thicker pirate ones are, as Raf says, fine for cold water swimming - almost as good as a neoprene cap, but mine gets ditched as soon as the sea has warmed up a bit more
I agree on all points.
Over 300 of the silicone caps have been sold and everyone has been happy to pay the price. And so far only 3 dissenters as to the thickness. And from reading back on the very first swim cap order thread, the consensus was to go for silicone for durablility and thickness in OW
But we will see what KK comes up with as to prices and take it from there
I've just started wearing mine (open water winter wimp) and find it to be great. I'm not used to wearing a swim cap and am petrified that I am going to split it. I think that the colour is GREAT for OW swimming, being easily seen.
On the basis of my fear factor, I'll probably buy another cap, just as a spare! Either type.
Thinking about it, i have a drawer full of swimming caps. Not going to bother.
I've been known to wear 2 for open water at the start of the season. I think they are great. Don't use one at the pool much though.
KK - you're the one who said £4 was expensive for a swim cap and suggested thinner ones could be cheaper. .
My intention is to continue as before using current suppliers and buying the silicone (thicker) ones as there has never been an issue on costs before.
So basically, you decide whether you want to source cheaper swim caps of either variety, smaller minimum order levels, no artwork costs etc and take over the swim cap order or not
And I haven't rejected your offer. As I said, up to you whether you see your offer through; whether you can source cheaper swim caps (latex or silicone) with possibly lower minimum order levels.
If you don't want to, then fair enough. I'll continue as I have before.
If you can source cheaper swim caps, then I will happily pass the order to you to deal with.
Can't say fairer than that
