I will need support as I have the feeling i will be the last person home...
i thought about getting the bike ouit of the shed today......but its been lovely having no bike in my living room for the last 7 months.....so much easier to hoover
The Ginga Ninja and I are planning an assault on the Big Woody Bike split, just one loop, with a 45min run of the bike. It will probably be a hilly run too. We are leaving Mitcheldean just after 9am tomorrow morning. If Anyone would like to join us you would be most welcome. Parking and changing area available too. Not planning on going fast either.
I know this is quite short notice and am up for arranging another one soon if anyone is up for it?
Great ride out on the course today, although next time I say to Seren it all down hill for a bit now, and we arrive at another hill, I think she may hit me.
Thanks for showing me the course Duda.and thanks for waiting after every hill.......I have never been great on hills and after 7 months out of the saddle I havent made any improvements......
it definitely is a beautiful part of the country and it did have one or two little climbs.....
will hopefully get out once a week on the bike and will be stronger next time I come over for a recce
Thanks for a great day's riding Seren. It was nice to have some company rather than just the view of Duda's rapidly disappearing back!
You figured out how to ride again and I figured out how to use the keyboard to join this forumy thing.
Hello everyone. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Duda's other half. Hoping to earn my Pirate colours for more than just supporting this year. It came down to the old adage of "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" and I figured training for triathlon was the only way to spend any time with my beloved ( I'd tried beating him but he just protested ). Looking forward to meeting more of you at some events in the future
Cheers Seren. I will keep worrying about Llangynidr until I've got up it a few times though. You'll have to come and beast me up it as part of your training
So far only Titan in June and I'll see how that goes and what it's like squeezing training in over summer. I'm still trying to deny the fact that I would like to do IM Wales in 2016 but I am often away for a week or more at a time with work so it's a case of figuring out how to train while halfway up a mountain.

so dis I SA... but this doesnt really count... and its the longest running one and it might not ever run again....
I'm only doing the short one (Whittle?) but if you're doing a lap of the bike course then I'd be interested in tagging along.
Question for youu Dave. Was the run the full 26.2 back in the day when you ran it or was it always 22 miles?
And IM Nice last year the bike is short, does no one know how to use a trundle wheel these days ?
Exactly!!
Flip me Dave, the hills make up for the brevity, surely.
Seren, will put this in the diary to come out and support you.
I'm hoping the sprint tri I'm doing in a couple of weeks time is going to be short !
(But I bet that Iron Min woman will be there to pace it out proper)

I'm now getting a mental picture of Seren training by riding round and round in tiny circles inside her living room.
