Spray a wodge more wd40 round it.

Wipe off the excess and put black tape round your seatpin so you know the height you had it at so you can set it easily later.

Leave it a while to soak in.

Try the bang bang thing again, then brute force wiggling.

Maybe leave the bike in the sun to heat up and let the seat tube expand ? (and tie an ice pack round your seatpin to keep that cool ?)

That's the tube that clamps to the saddle and goes inside your frame.

My bike fell apart today

/ well the back bit by the gears, ive just managed to get it together but missing a crutial screw that neither of the two bike shops ive been to have $hit.

I'll be needing some expertise from any PSOF bike mechanics tomorrow, SP, Cougie....

Oh for info its a small nut that holds the rear mech to the frame, alan key size is my second smallest on Park multitool. Screw is about 12 mil long.

I'm packing, I hired a bike box and have just spent the last hour dismantling my bike and trying to pack it so as to leave enough room for everything else. The box now weighs about 3 tons, good job it's got wheels.

Top tip- BA dont weigh your hand baggage so put as much in there as possible, I didnt and got charged a hefty 70 quid for bike and case, oh and the youth hostel sells pringles
