Hit for the treadmill for 10 miles in 1:15. Felt good as have not been that fast for a while. Also did some weights and cross training. Couple of days of outside running coming up for me next.
3 miles on the treadmill then a swim. Knee is a bit swollen after upping my miles last week so I have had an easy week. I really hate the treadmill so I am hoping that the swelling goes soon. It does seem to be getting better.
ran home from work with my work clothes in my backpack (7lbs weight in a pair of shoes, jeans t-shirt and keys! I'm going to start wearing thinner clothes ).
3.5 miles, took me 40 mins (fastest time yet) and first time I've managed to do this without having to walk any of it.
Heavens opened 5 mins in and I thought I was going to drown! 5 mins later the sun was out and I was nice and refreshed
really chuffed that a) I did it without walking (has taken me 4 attempts), b) I didn't bottle out when the sky was looking black c) kept going when the heavens opened and d) i feel great today, no aches or pains
10 miles along the beach this morning. Took me 1:40, so about 10 minute miles. Weather was pleasant with cloud cover to keep things cool and a steady breeze.
Ran 2 miles today. Been steadily decreasing the amount I walk between runs and felt awwwful today and got a stitch and eventually had to give up and walk two minutes before the end of my run. Grrr!
25 miles in 4:25. Which is 40 minutes slower then my PB for this route. But was the first long run I have been on for 5 weeks, so just good to be back out racking up the miles.
Another 3 miles on the treadmill for me. Swollen knee gone and no pain in my shins so back outside for me tomorrrow. Will aim for a slow 6 and see how it goes!
Newark half today. Not run for a week due to foot pain so was not expecting great things thankfully. Was hoping for a little cooler weather, but the sun came out to greet us first thing despite yesterdays rain. Ran through the first few miles without too much difficulty, but the legs went to jelly in the last few miles, had to walk a couple of times. Good race, everyone very friendly, and quite a few folk out to cheer us on. Need to try racing some 10 milers i think, can cover this distance in training without stopping, but races seem to be a different kettle of fish.
Went out with the dog at tea time to the woods. just over 4 miles. The dog was knackered, I never thought I'd see it, although to fair he must have ran at least twice as far as me whilst he was running ahead and chasing things.
$M Steady. Okay, but legs and body heavy. CCL:Keep it going, we've all been there.Don't be too down.
Thanks birkmyre
Today, I did my longest run yet (I started in April) of just over 3 miles! I did 3x 10 minutes running followed by 2 minutes, apart from the last 10 minutes, so all in all, it took me 34 minutes. I am very encouraged by this as I am doing the 5k on 5th September and it looks like my time won't be as embarrassing as first thought!
It was nice and sunny. It was a bit of a struggle today but I just kept pushing myself and now I feel great
I was at the gym today so had 10 miles on the treadmill in 1:20. Also spent half hour on weights. 45 minutes rowing/cross-trainer/bike. Then had an hour swimming.
5.45 miles... in a time of 53 mins. Blissfully it was raining.
It was hard work , I didn't enjoy it and didn't think I'd make it...but I did. I even took out my ipod as the music was irritating me
Last run was Sat....8 miles . Trying to step up my training as my HM is next month and I don't think I've done enough training. My longest run to date is 9 miles...but it feels as though my legs need strengthening.
Cycled 40 miles yesterday, so should have had an easy day today, but tried to do 10 miles. Set off too fast though, and had to stop after 2.5 miles. Training going well though, and hope to break 24 mins for 5k soon.
club night last night. 7.1 miles. I got lost from the pack I was with, strange though as one minute I was struggling, but once I was on my own I had a new spring in my legs and did a fairly fast last mile. Day off today.
5M Fartlek and 100% shattered. Saw 2 deer. Dry and mild out, no wind either. 'Douglas Bader' type walks in work today ! Think Kenneth Moore in the film 'Reach for the sky' !!

10k steady this morning. First 3k easy then 6.5k increasing pace through "steady" range from 5:20/km to 5:00/km, then 0.5k easy.
Thought it would be tough in this heat, given all my running out here has been easy/slow, but it went surprisingly well.
5 miles this morning. 1.5miles to horrid hill then 10x sprinting up it and jogging back down. 1.5 miles home feeling great.
Fingers crossed last long run tomorrow before hols goes well.

12 miles yesterday in 1hr 42 mins. Achilles very sore but it was a lovely day so who cares! 4 miles this morning as a pre-journey outing.
Off on hols this afternoon for 2 weeks where I think running in the pool is more likely than anything else.
5K tempo run 17;59 , Looked like it was going to p!$$ down but just missed it !

14.8 miles in 2hrs 1 min. Couple of hills thrown into that.
Getting ready to go for a 5 mile recovery run
