5 K park run this morning. I was hoping to get below 25 minutes and beat my pb but went 28 seconds over. I was disappointed but will do it another day.
Swittle -I'm loving the idea of flowers for finishers!!!
New inov8's today & took a glorious route from Marteg Bridge up to the windfarm and across to St Harman. Fabulous scenary with a few streams and barb fences to navigate.
10m steady today, had much needed lie in this morning so went out early evening, and it was still very warm. Usually run early at the weekends, surprised by how much traffic there was, and a few folk out for a stroll enjoying the sunshine. Lots of tractors out harvesting before tonights' storm blows in. Made up the route as I went, added in extra loops for the sake of it to stretch it out, happy with my first decent length run since the Newark half.
Agree with Camlo, flowers for finishers sounds great, better than cheap nasty t shirt i'll never wear again.
And Rob - be prepared to become addicted to the early morning runs - best time of the day by far!
Back from four weeks out of the country (France and NL) and managed to put in some good training. Weeks varied between 25 and 40M with good pacey and hilly sessions as well.
Culminated in 40.35 on a flat 10k on a cold evening in NL. Bestest time for almost 4 years.
Evening all, another 4 miler tonight after work. First two miles were pretty sluggish, picked up the pace and the last mile was a quick one. Felt really fresh afterwards.
4miles this morning. Easy/steadil,y to recover from yesterdays Fartlek. Soaked through. Rain hasn't stopped since yesterday morning up here in West Scotland !
Did a fantastic trail 10k on Sunday. Toonie Express Adventure Running Club organised it incredibly well. For a small club it was well-attended with over 190 entrants. Every body seemed to enjoy it immensly.
0730 and out for a blustery five-mile circuit through Blundellsands before turning down the beach at Burbo Bank and getting propelled home by a Force 5! Such good fun & a grand way to wake up lol
Back from La Gomera, where it was too hot to run so did 3.5K in the pool everyday......got a bit boring counting lengths after the 14th morning!
Fast 5 miles on Sunday to test out legs and a hill session this afternoon. 7 weeks until the great cumbrian run....................... Not sure I will beat last year's time given achilles problems but that won't stop me trying.
runningbagel- 3.5km swim???? would take me all day!!
7 miles over the glorious hills around Radnor Forest for me tonight- steepish climb to start then off road to get over the tops before a steep descent back to the cars.
Running clubs rock- would never have found this route by myself (or would have tried)
4.5M this morning. Got a fright crossing a field which had 2 horses in it. They weren't there the last time I crossed that field. They never bothered me thankfully.

V. well marshalled, a top quality towel as memento and flowers for the women finishers. Loved it!

There is something intensely enjoyable about running in the rain (as long as it doesn't happen too often!)
