Cathy - It is not really that hill, just at the end of a 5k it is.

DD - please don't even think of backing out of Silverstone!
We're all going cos you suggested it and it will be a brilliant chance for us all to meet up! Looking forward to it! 
Also looking forward to Tuesday ... I think!! Couple of weeks worth of slothdom and Christmas excess to battle with, so I have mixed feelings about it! Don't think it will be the most 'comfortable' 10k I'll ever do ... and serve me right really!

I'm not going to be capable of going hell for leather myself, having only run on Boxing Day and that's all over the last couple of weeks... I'll be weighed down with all the extra food and alcohol!! (making my excuses early
!) Never mind - I'll try and enjoy it as much as poss too!

Really didn't feel like racing this morning - a late night, alcohol and no speed training for two months not the best preparation. So glad we went though - it was great atmosphere, thank you to all the marshalls and race organisers - and I love my shoe bag, and the milkshake was great - perfect goodies! I've only done one 10k race - it was my first race 9 months ago, so I was likely to get a PB, and did even though my pace was slower than for my 10 mile race! 55.18 by my watch, 4 minutesfaster than my previous race, so happy with that - a great way to start the year and set a marker to beat in 2008.

I did it in 57:18 by my watch, not a pb but happy with my time. I hate that up hill finish, it is the 3rd time I have been up that hill.
