Yeah sure, next week is like this one - WRN possibly monday, riding thursday, other than that should be ok - except poss wed, but should be able to work round that
just not too close to sunday or I will be unabble to walk.....!
I want to go further -rather than faster atm I have only got a bit faster than I was cos I have got a bit fitter
Crikey - its only about 2-3 months ago I made excuses to get out of a 5mile hike becasue I was so unfit I didnt think I would manage to get round it
This week...next week...both...its all good My training has gone to rat poo recently - I hve done less miles in April than I did in March, which seeing as I was r/w with only up to about 5 mins at a time in march is surprising me!
Bloomin heck PJ you are nearly as scary as Nam - hill reps - thats just cruel!
Nam - you will be again in a week or two. It just takes a while. Sometimes we expect too much of ourselves. When Ilanded up in UHW in february, I was out on the thursday and all set to go in on the friday, but was threatened with being failed for the block if I dared to. It was only after that I realised how crap I had ended up feeling afterwards and took several days of the following week off too. 2 or 3 weeks after being admitted, I did St Davids Day 5k. So it does get better, honest. Its just frustrating (I aint that patient either!) ((( )))
you aint crap at any of them Especially cycling. In fact I need to by very nice to you in the hope you might teach me how to ride a bike "proper" sometime!
whats turbo-ing? Enjoy it anyway - but dont kill yourself if its energetic - you have given yourself a bit of a pounding today, compared to being on the settee x
LOL... you haven't seen my cycle yet... I've had some spectacular crashes failing to unclip...
A turbo trainer is a thingie you clip your own road bike into and it lets you cycle on the spot in the comfort of your own living room like so...
I just tried my new HRM and did 2 hours very gently within 60-70% of my MHR. Bike computer says I covered 30 miles. Goes a little way to make up for this mornings disaster...
ooo I like the sound of cycling ondoors. Means there is no traffic, slippery roads, corners or ability to balance required!
Im still waiting for Garmin to get back to me about the HRM..... I have a feeling that it was a little high today - never formally worked out my max, in theory its 195? At 4.5 today mind I think it was at least that...couldnt actually count it - or maybe thats just becasue I was all wobbbly and unable to concentrate by then!
This morning wasnt a disaster. Lesser beings wouldnt have even tried. In fact, most people wouldnt do it in the first place. Even among those who would "get it" I suspect a lot would be off work for about 3 weeks, never mind getting back to anything like what you are doing
Use the link and scroll down. There's an online calculator that does it for you.
But although mine is technically 182, I know for a fact I've trained above 190 when my old PT strapped me to a HRM and made me do sprint intervals on the treadmill.
Not sure yet...sometime in the morning.. maybe 10ish or so... You not at work then? Come to think of it.. I dont even know what you do for work? Enlighten me!
I'll mail you about work. Still on antibiotics so will wait before script finished before return to work. Probably best if I have a few plods on my own first until I'm vaguely competent again. Maybe next week
No I only just got to grips with my HRM... I'm not a gadget girl... I map my routes on Fetch and just see how long it takes me... primitive but it'll do....

What does QED mean?

Q.E.D. is an abbreviation of the latin phrase "quod erat demonstrandum" (literally, "that which was to be demonstrated").
You kind of say that when someone has just proven your point.
You arent a heffer
Wha is QED???
(((((NAM)))))
You're not a heffer...in fact someone had spotted your wave on my FB wall and commented on how good you looked in your Pirate top!
Anymore of that talk and i'll be making you do hill reps up Holton Road

You'll get back there Nam...it's just frustrating when your body makes you rest.
You should be proud that you're a triathlete - i only do running and that's enough for me!!

There are a few different formula for calculating maximum heart rate...

Evening by the way!
I'm about to do some crunches on my exercise ball to make up for just watching people race today!
Looking forward to going round the route tomorrow morning, shame you guys cant make it
Possibly not a good idea to plod while you are off work.....well not much anyway
I am getting stiff....debating whether I will be able to walk tommorrow, and whether I should try and plod anyway!
120 crunches.... done
OK sounds like Barking will be around for next week too.
Have you got a Garmin Nam? Am trying to figure the best one to get.
lol X-post PJ!
Yeah, next week should be good
Not sure how this week will go walking, never mind running wise
Crikey I can only do 10 crunches or 5 leg raises. I really do have appauling strength!
What do you want the Garmin for PJ? I mean, what do you want it to be able to do?
