Thanks Dr Rob for an enjoyably hard race. That finish was nice I just let my legs go and thought I may tumble through the line. I did have a few sore muscles this morning and as I had arranged a run this morn did 5miles with a mate. Went ok, and I just got back from 27miles on the bike with gf at a leisurely pace. Think this may help soreness by keeping moving. Not sure I even consider doing the Picnic as that is too much and I prefer to keep in a rythym and climbing that course twice just seems like too much hard work.
Thanks Dr Rob I really enjoyed the race and the whole experience. I travelled down fom Wales on the day done the race and travelled back after the race. I was in some pain driving along the M4 ,may be it will be a good idea to stay over next year. I will most definatly be back next year.
A big hello to everyone i met on the course, espically the worlds loudest breathing runner, you kept me going.
Great race - many thanks to Dr Rob and the marshalls, helpers, runners and everyone else. I just rated it on the RW site but it came up as 2007 somehow (operator error) so won't repeat my coments - just fantastic. thanks and well done to all! Cracking interlude of 'sanity' in a very busy weekend!
Thanks for a fantastic race Dr Rob and all the helpers - it was an interesting experience as recently I did my first "proper" fell race (cader idris) - also about 3000 feet, and 10.5 miles of distance.
Cader was in some ways harder (as went straight up apart from a mile of bog, then straight down (and back through the bog)) but that was also easier - the constant change from up to down and back again seemed even more legsapping in the Munro, though also more interesting!
Anyway I can only reiterate how great the organisation and the atmosphere was, loads of water stations much needed, sugar fixes at just the right points, singing and piping and great food afterwards, brilliant. Great support from everyone, we got to know each other quite well after so many crossing points!
Definitely one to do again and again (though probably not twice on the same day.... thought I was fit but the prospect of turning round and repeating the exercise was frankly untenable).
Well done guys. Fawley Hill will hold no terrors from now on.
I had forgot about the Munro and suddenly was aware of all these people running towards me. Hell, I thought, I am a long way back!! The support from you folk was fantastic. I will do the half next year as two years is too long to wait to get my own back on The Shute!
My colleagues and I have been working away and all of the photos are all ready! We have added tags for your race numbers to help you find yourself. You can quickly browse your photos using the search:

I'd like to add my thanks to Lorenzos for all your support.
And well done on doing the Munro as it has to be as hard as any straight forward road mara

Just wanted to echo what everyone else has said and say Thanks to Dr Rob.
Great event. One day I will finish the course running down the hill at the end. Yet again this year it was a cramp riddled stumble to the line.
Muttley - Same here, my boss is going to be pleased with me....I`m staying at my desk ALL day today
(Push me out at 5.00pm....)

So ... when are entries open for next year's jaunt?
Next year's target - to finish in the first half of the field.
i only did the half and am finding the recovery worse than for a full flat marathon!
prob my fault for going flat out on the downhills on already tight calves!
Today is Thursday and I think I've regained use of my legs. Yippee!
Also, Dr Rob has emailed to say the final results are out. He is the only race director who addresses me as "dear super-athlete".
