This is what I've written so far... I'll probably write a few more words this weekend...
When it comes to Ironman races you need to be prepared - they sell out so quickly you often need to sign up almost a year in advance. This is what happened this time. In July 2009 a few days after finishing Ironman Switzerland I signed up to Challenge Roth in Germany. This isn’t an official Ironman race, but its one of the most iconic and famous iron-distance races in the world outside of Hawaii.
ACtually, re framing the medal, AR has done it. We had a box frame lying around - as you do - and I came back at lunchtime today to find the medal in all its glory in the frame. It looks fab. He said I could put in my wrist band/pic/bike number etc etc but just the medal by itself is brill.
good one funkin.............took me a while to read but it was an amazing race..................you should definitely be able to get that marathon time down
Photos are finally on facebook, I suspect most of you are friends with either David or me, so will be able to see them. I am disappointed in them to be honest but there we go, tough day in the "supporting office" as it were. Enjoy

Frame it?! Put it in a frame with your finishers photo or certificate and hang it in the downstairs loo for all to see.
And use the other one as casual wear for fete openings, Running Club dos, OW swim sessions etc!
I have started work on my race report!
But now I need to go to my running club's committee meeting.....
hairier half wrote (see)
I started mine this morning, and may have run out of excuses not to finish it tonight ...
