The event will have a UKA License. I don't agree with that but there you are. If you wear an ipod we are not responsible for your safety on the course. I see no sense in 'disqualifying' people. What does it achieve? As far as UKA Rules go then you will be disqualified but I have no idea how that is imposed or what the consequences are.

Awesome, as long as I don't get pulled off the course and refused a medal, that's my main concern
On a positive note the crowd support on Sunday was the BEST half marathon i've ever ran in made me feel proud to be a scouser,Fingers crossed the marathon will get the same weather and support
As for "The Thefts of T-Shirts"Your giving giving ammo to the sterotypical views people have on scousers
I do like a medal and a t-shirt but I run the races as a personal challenge more than what I get at the end, anything in a bag is a bonus. Anything I get for beating JH 17 is an even bigger bonus.
Remember Stublack, that's merely one challenge out of a year's four. I am catching you.
There was what could only be described as a LAKE on the track in Victoria Park. As it was actually physically impossible to get any wetter and I was in a playful mood I quite literally leapt straight into it whooping and making as much splashing as possible!
Some people looked at me as if were the biggest nutter on earth but it was the most fun I've had in AGES!
let's hope for decent weather on October 9th, if not at least we can shelter in the tunnel.
My legs have (sort of) recovered from Sunday and last nights run. Back to training my apprentice tomorrow. I suppose this is the start of the Marathon training.
I've got the taper gremlins in my head and they're really getting on my nerves and my knee is still niggling. Why do bits start to hurt when you taper?!!!!
Have you been to see a physio they can sort niggles out in just 1hr Gina from Liverpool RC is fantastic and only £25phr she can sort you - All i can say is rest and don't worry as i have been injured for 5 weeks and ran the half marathon on Sunday with no pain its a releif to run without pain but don't run unless your ready or you will make it worse GOOD LUCK
Awwh, thanks NL and Mcattack. I'm seeing my friendly sports massage lady next week and I shall probably not run again until then as I really can't risk it developing into something worse. Being sensible really doesn't come easily though
Yes Redhead - being sensible is boring!! I had one of my dreams last night and was running Brighton afterall
Seeing my physio for rehab exercises for my foot next week. 3 more weeks of non-weight bearing exercise isn't going to be easy but I'm determined to come back fitter and stronger racing again! You're wise to rest up.
Mr R - I know you're busy buying new shell suits and the like but any rough estimate of when the RLM training plans will be available? Would like to have a look before trawling around for one.
Oh you're so efficient Mr R - when you going to stand for Mayor of Liverpool and make it the UK's first running city? You'd get my vote (and I never vote blue! )

You're telling me!
You would do if it were down to me. I cannot BEAR ipods in races. They should be ABSOLUTELY banned. There was what could only be described as a LAKE on the track in Victoria Park. Alan, don't pretend you haven't still got a shell suit. Didn't they originate on the Wirral?
Alan,
The Dave Bedford look would look great in any marathon ,Just hope it's not windy lol

Rest up I would till Brighton race day. I ignored my niggles and look at me!

Alan parkrun starts in the middle of Princes Park near the green gym equipment. If you aim to get there at 8:45 you'll see us!
Thanks NL! Just 9 days to go!
