  • Saunders Lakeland Mountain Marathon. Harterfell class. Like Karrimor but a bit softer beacuse
    a) Its during the summer.
    b) There is milk and beer at the ovenight camp.
  • Feeling jealous now !!! Nothing so exotic 10K race Ellesmere in Shropshire
  • Mansfield Half Marathon for me
  • Bewl water lovely scenic run round the lake.
  • Cranleigh 3K, which will be my kids' first race (they are 8, 6 and 4).

The 6-year-old is looking really really fast, and they are absolutely beside themselves with excitement.
  • Not racing, thankfully. Did 5 races in June, so need to train, and especially get some long runs in. Enjoy it, those that are racing.
  • Half IronMan in Trentham, Staffordshire on Sunday.
  • Skipton 10k - it was my first race last year, so I can see how much I've improved since then.
  • northants supersprint tri (500m open,15km,5km)
  • R4L Cambridge. Well, I think the total climb might be 3 feet, between the lower lock level and the upper. Don't worry though, I'll be real careful and slow down if necessary on that bit.

R4L wasn't quite my first post-paralysis race, but close on. Things look a bit different from this perspective.

Doubt I'll better my time though. Lots has happened since then.
  • just long run training ,if weather allows, 10 miles
  • R4L Stockport

  • Marshalling Pudsey 10k (my club race)

Nice to see Skipton 10k on the same day again. Ah well, at least Harrogate 10k, which was also on the same day as Pudsey/?Skipton last year has moved dates.

Dont mind me. An old rant of mine.
  • R4L Newbury, am hoping to be able to run it but have been off with a virus!!!! Typical.
    Good luck to everyone running!
  • bugger all. next on 13th, unlucky for some!
  • Burn Valley Half Marathon ( Saturday 2pm ).
It's supposed to be one of toughest in the country.
    Hope I don't regret entering this !!
  • Filey Triathlon- Swiss you are not the only one who does exotic races you know. Seem to have mislaid all the details like registration time etc, oh well no doubt they'll turn up.
  • Launceston Half - Hilliest half I have ever done before.
You run out of Cornwall into Devon, then back into Cornwall again, strange sport this running lark.
  • bloody hell SB, you are a glutton for big hills.

doing the Bewl 15 on Sunday
  • makes Hal Higidons 5 X hill look like a piece of p**s never mind I will not be as hot as last week.

Results to be posted on Monday
  • Chimp - are you doing Harrogate?
  • Osthmotherley Phoenix, 17+ miles over the Yorkshire moors inc Carlton Bank, got lost last year and had to drop out, so can't do any worse this year.
  • No running for me - I'm the Best Man at a friends wedding in Windermere. Bit nervous about the speech though..!

  • SB, you're mad, mad, mad, mad, mad!!!!!!!!!
  • Do you know fishy, I think I will.

Need something between Eccup and my holiday abroad
  • harry hawkes 8 mile in esher this weekend.
always a nice enjoyable race with a good atmosphere.
  • Corrieyairack challenge on Saturday ...only 744m climb a bump compared to the Col de Galibier 2700m I cycled up last week.
  • Saturday I'm race director of The Rhino Race 10K
    Sunday Bewl Water 15
  • Think I might join you then, Chimp - sounds pretty civilised, and Mr Fishy and the kids can trek round the shops.
