Have enjoyed reading the highs and lows of the Outlaw 2013. For me the big memory was the support amongst all elements of the race, Competitors, Organisers, Marshalls, Supporters etc. I can identify with the comments on the heat and the pain that some felt (all of us should have suffered one way or another), heart really goes out to some of those who did not achieve their dreams for that day, there are other opportunities to put that right (if you want to)....
I really enjoyed the day, inspired by the great, the good and the bloody-minded and although I finished low down the field I can still recall that last 2.5k down the back straight, the feeling that the training had paid off, and that the finish line was in sight. Although, perhaps the full-blown sprint down the chute (because someone had overtaken me at the 250mtrs mark - and yes, i did get that place back) was probably a little too competitive considering it was 15hr and 15mins since i had started!!!!
Back for 2014 as well - looking forward to seeing you guys there!!!
