I have to agree with Malcs I am very up and down I want this so bad, the thought of not getting through makes me feel sick! Sleeping is definitely an issue!
I know what you mean andrew price 3 went out for a steady 10m this afternoon all the way round could not think of anything but target 26.2
Paulsamcrynru, Malcs and Jenf my nerves are up and down just like being on that start line of a race! . . . . yes I keep check emails, the forums and facebook
Reference eating my garmin said I have burnt. 1365 calories . . . . what can I get for that?
Good to know that I am not in alone in being consumed by this project! At least ill know I will sleep tonight on call finishes in 12 hours, 39 minutes and counting
Paul, Shady, Malcs, Jen, Andrew, Tony, Clive, A.W I'm RIGHT there with all of you all ... I am ABSOLUTELY shattered!! The sleep thing has really caught up me today, especially after a very muddy off road Turkey Run this morning My husband might be enforcing an internet curfew very soon! Keep it up y'all, not long to go. You're all doing just great!
Evening all. Struggled to get anywhere near here over the weekend with all sorts of shenanigans going on, the highlight of which was a playing Blind Pew, the murderer, in a Pirates murder mystery, Aarrr!
Going back a day or two the hydration chat I missed, did we ever establish how to best replace lost salts? Bulk buying powerade when on half price at tesco drives my wife mad so a more effective and cheaper solution would be very much appreciated
5am alarm set for the morrow, going to try start the week of with a cheeky 10miles...
I think we're all going through the same mix of emotions, I can honestly say I'm happy just to be in with a chance, although that doesn't mean I won't be gutted if I lose, vote for me if you don't want to see a grown man cry! Seriously though, there seems to be genuine positivity from all involved, although that may be the port talking!
"Caroline, at the age of 94 I have joined Runner's World and was amused to be asked if I was a runner or a triathlon athlete. I would love to be able to walk a few yards let alone run them!"
CaroT - Sorry I missed this earlier but had to say this is priceless, had me in stitches
So competition time folks - whoever can recruit the most elderly member of runners world gets a free copy of Ady's book when it's out and a six pack of donuts from Indy's bakery. I'm off to my local residential home in the morning...
Game on Malcs and Reginald!! Good night everyone, waking up early tomorrow but not for a run... got a special breakfast to make. Indy all your talk about donuts has made me wish I'd bought some for tomorrow morning. I'll have to make it a half mile training run to the bakery and back early tomorrow morning x
I'm the same as everyone else, I've drove everyone mad around me by constantly checking my emails and forum and talking runners world and running all the time! I'm eating, sleeping and drinking this competition. My OH asked me what I wanted for Christmas and my birthday and I couldn't think of anything except get through to the last 5 in this comp!
Reginald - you should scam them into voting for you fraudulently then you could win all the prizes
Sarah - 104! if you can get them to vote for you I will definitely shout you a bag of donuts, and I may throw in a free bag if cookies too.
Tony, that's amazing! I've done 5 in 5 minutes so at my current dp (doughnut pace) I reckon with a bit more training I could take that record on, maybe if I don't win this I'll see if Krispy Kreme do a target dozen training program?

Yep - me too! Except my nerves are up and down like a rollercoaster.

... but when I was out running this afternoon I did feel like one of the luckiest people around

And me! When I wake up - I'm thinking "I wonder if anyone's posted in my thread" or "I hope it hasn't dropped to page 63"
It's fun though, isn't it! Having a blast!
I have no idea what happened above, was trying to post a picture of the run this morning.
Needed to get away from checking e-mails and the forum.

Malcs - I too thought it was a stunning comment and brought a big smile fantastic CaroT

While I think of it does anyone want to swap a Medium Asics T-shirt for a Large. Think I was ambitious with the sizing. (the one from BC)
Reg they are a little snug, aren't they?? Plus the head hole is very small... either that or my head has a particularly large circumference...

Sarah - I think your name is being engraved on the trophy as we speak!
Ooh x post - Indy got there first!

The start of my talk does start with 'Look into my eyes, in the eyes, not around the eyes, in the eyes'
Do you think this is where all the trouble with bankers is?
I don't mind showing my six pack to the world its the head hole that I can't get through.
