I doubt it Paul . . coz you had to already have a place to be considered . . the places didn't come with coaching . .
and I'm not sure I could be bothered with all that effort now . . I'd alreay decided that if I was fortunate to get a place for next year I'd spend the race just stopping to natter with everyone I saw who I knew and have a lovely day out amongst friends
which I can still do of course, I just won't be quite as sweaty!
morning all. Thank you for the birthday wishes. I have discovered that if you don't run for a week and eat lots of birthday cake and choccies it is possible to put on weight. durrrrrrr
Oh, is it this weekend..... Have fun out there. The QR is a good bike - there is a guy in our club who's had 2 - it's finding sockists who do a proper measuring service that is the challenge.

I'm suffering the pain of rejection
Happy Birthday LL
good luck to the idiot that thinks they can run to Brighton on Sunday with a compass (haven't quite worked out who it is)
I've gone soft and switched the heating on
hello everyone

heavens no . . can you imagine the rush for places if they did that!!
we managed to get about £100's of free kit out of nike (shoes, shirt, shorts, shocks) and a free Garmin 301 which isn't to be sneezed at . .
I see the gang that are doing GNR with RW have all got matching kit, and very nice they look too
it looks like I'm going to be at Fetchpoint (although I am tempted to do Shakespeare instead) so I'll try to save you some cake
Did I nearly miss LL's birthday! Sorry! And happy birthday LL
No amount of free kit would make me want to do the GNR.
yep . . beer afterwards will be essential . . and agree ref GNR . . it was too full for my liking 20 years ago
gd'evening PSC . .
Hiya folks.
I am..... I'm going to be in the car
just as a coda to my post last night.... the bidding didn't go higher, but the bike has sold! So I am now looking at TT bikes... carbon bling.
Going out for lunch today and tomorrw. Just got to hoover up the last of the choccies then diet starts wednesday!
LL x
Morning all.
Is everyone out road testing their new bikes?
You are in good company Rich - I was rejected too!
Don't fancy a charity place. Fund raising in the present financial climate will not be easy.
Oh stop it.....
I am a reject. FLM was full too.....
I've not brought my bike yet..... but am close to a decision. An aero bike from Kinetic One looks good and its (just) in my price range.... bike shop
Evening CPH
Sorry to hear about the rejections.
Sockists? LOL!
Will you be doing any running while you're out there paul a?
I'm going to Exeter for the weekend and might take my trainers on the off-chance.
Busy packing the sunscreen for Chicago, looks like it might be a warm one - currently forecasting 76F for Sunday.
good luck paul a
I suppose i had better go running
I have sort of given up really
