Unfortunately I had a crash just after Tourette's sur loup with another competitor and we both went into a wall , slightly bruised but my bike took the brunt , twisted mech and bent hanger , I tried to fix it and struggled on ....the more I pushed up the hills it seemed to just bend my hanger more and more !! I got to within 2km of the summit of the second ( 25km ) climb and my hanger finally gave up the ghost leaving me with only the 3 small gears , that was my climbing at an end and whilst trying to sort it I finally snapped the hanger ! Feeling really gutted how my race ended after so much time , money and effort over the last 8 months but shit happens eh ! A big big well done to everybody today , that was a proper tough ride that and the heat when back in nice was a killer !! Well done everyone
