It's two laps I know, are there any water stations?? Can't stand carrying water but could manage 7.5 miles and Mrs 'kk' could throw water at me as I pass!!
last year they had water available at the start and so at the 7 1/2 mile point. At least one group was running ahead of schedule so the pacer allowed a 1 min water stop . . .
otherwise grab a bottle from your supporter as you pass (you will need it after pacing it up *THAT* hill!)
It really does to me. Going clockwise you hit that f**ing hill after the first mile and for me, after that, every small incline turns into a mental struggle. I'll do it either way but I'll dread it if it is clockwise.
If memory serve me right, last year they ran 2 laps and that big f**king hill was at the half way mark and you finish on it. Guess who didn't manage to run up it at the finish.
now i'm lost, there are at least two big hills in Richmond Park
I usually enter via Robin Hood's and then go clockwise, so i have a hill almost at the begining, then flat and then a big hill down to the next gate (Kingston?)

It's a great training run though... well worth doing.

Destiny - it's a RW hosted 2 lap training run with paced groups for all levels.

No ones mentioned *THAT* hili..... !!
That got my attention too!!
I did the Nike 10k in Richmond Park and there was a pretty bad hill near the start - about 1km in length and reasonably steep too!
Really looking forward to meeting the hill again. I thought parks were supposed to be flat!
You have 4 toilets in total with drinkable water. I have run around Richmond Park several times and never carried out water.
I think it's a very good chance to test gels and other long distance fuel.
i'll wear my leather trousers
only doubt is shorts (including bavarian hat and jar of beer) or long trousers on a more heavy metal kind of way

i know which i prefer.
My long runs always finish with a mother of a hill, I am glad I only do it once !!!!!
