Going back a bit.......... (cos I've been out all day), Gordon is so right in what he says about a training partner. I've noticed that people often post that they haven't run all week, or that they can't face going out. I don't have that option, because by the time my alarm goes off at 5.30am, my TP has already been up for 15 minutes, so it's too late for me to cry off. It really, really works.
Why are you getting up at 0530 Sass... and more to the point why is training partner up at 0515???
When I worked at my last job there were four of us that went to the gym every lunchtime. We wouldn't even arrange to meet, it was just taken that we would be in reception at 1230 ready to go to the gym... if you weren't there people would wait and that made you feel terrible.. if you wanted to call off you had another three people giving you a hard time about being a slacker... I went every day for about a year and it was the fittest I've ever been
Not at all... tell him you want to go for a 30 minute run and tell him that he can massage your sore legs when you get back.. that'll be sure to get him interested...
Has anyone noticed that I seem obsessed today... I have!!!
Gordon, I can only do early runs to fit around job, dog(s), child. However, I'm on holiday (at home) this week, so I'm going to be very brave and go out during daylight!
hello lamb, who did you play footie for? I still play for a team whose keeper used to light up at half time....(also am v. impressed if you played in the varsity match, I never made it past college level!)
will try out the malt loaf idea on Sunday pm when I will be one of 22 women running around in the rain in Putney.....
No crisps yet, its hard Loads of crisps and choccie on ward today, luckily too busy performing evil procedures on people Got a ginthough I always think diet coke is Marvellous with chips!
ah thats like my shopping basket in the supermarche -low fat this and that, organic fruit and veg, healthy this and that, chocolate (organic) biscuits (digestives) cakes (carrot)....
EP Again I'm sorry about your friend, he sounded a great guy.
Gordon, if you got the human race form did you do the kingston running fest? if so did I meet you and totally forget about it? I'm doing the 16 miler in March too. I'm going to send the form off ASAP so I don't chicken.
Well done Bune for your titanic efforts.
Sassie, lovely name for a girly poodle. I'd really like a poodle but Mr J a bit anti.
Youre on Find good hotel, JJ leave the Mr to llok after the little Jumps Hotel with spa, then eat and drink pre race Stagger round run, in 2 hours 10 (yes Pix, we CAN) Then celebratory lunchn in hotel or pub yippee
I'll get an application, I might even stay over and make it a girly weekend. Benz, no I'm drinking again (doesn't that sound bad) but I've been away for two days and Mr J is still at work. Older Jumpet (4) was very upset at not seeing her daddy and that upset me.
She said "I'm getting a bit fed up of not seeing Daddy"

Just back from frozen north and have spent 8 hours in a car over two days.
I have eaten too much rubbish and not even broken into a light trot.
Do you think it would be cheeky to ask Mr J if I can go running this evening as he hasn't seen me for 2 days?
