Eldest shame we missed you. I won't be around this coming week end and the week after I have the Richmond half. So it might be 2 weeks befor I get to run in RP again (
I know. I also missed entering the Richmond half, as I would have liked to do that, but good luck, and I will definitely make it to Richmond soon, I will be doing the Capital feet beat on 23rd. See you soon.
Thanks Kinsey. It would be good to see you on the book group thread. Not many people have contributed to Anna Karenina. I think it was just too daunting! I've just finished part 4.
BTW, Little LordL did really well at his chess tournament.
Nice car Destiny! You inspired me to go home and wash mine, which, because it was quite so long since its last wash, took all afternoon, so I had a really good work-out on Sunday!
Lovely to meet you all, even if Bacon Roll left us for dust shortly after we started; let us know how you get on with matching that lap time Hollywood.
How did the little Lucan do in his chess match Lady L?
I'll be there next week Eldest, I have to try to run at least 11 miles, so I'll be up for at least one lap, plus a little bit extra, maybe to the top of the Big Hill and back to the car park?
Turns out its Manchester!! Quite a long way to go for an U9 chess competition. Also, its the same day that he's meant to be doing country dancing at the school summer fair so I need permission from the school before I book the flights and hotel. But I think we'll do it. I'm so proud of him!!
That sounds great Kath. I shall try and definately make it for one lap on Sunday. Did you manage to keep up with the group? are they really really fast?
I did manage to keep up with them Eldest, (well, except for Bacon Roll), and even managed to slow them down a bit when I reckoned the pace had picked up. (There was a hill coming up, and I didn't think I'd get to the top at that speed!).
One hour 10 isn't a PB for me for that route, I have done it in 1.08 before now, but that includes a few walking breaks, thus proving that I'm hopeless at pacing myself, as I must be running quicker in the running bits, and not losing much time in the walking bits. (Does that make sense?)
That sounds perfect to me Kath, I will be joining you let us both try for PB. OOH it is good that Hollywood is going (is it not), sounds like he is a hard task master!
Oh! and I meant to say if you fartlek it round RP you may be able to bring yor time down. I managed to reduce my time from 1.05 to 60 minutes just by doing a fartlek.
hello all. you busy bunch you. looks like i missed a good social last friday.
so whats the definitive list for this sunday? i'm up for it, but it comes the day after a certain festival down brixton way so i won't be on my best form.

I'm hoping to come from June onwards as have just purchased a new Ka and waiting for it to arrive. Hurrah! All v. exciting as it's my first car having recently passed my driving test at the grand old age of 34. Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Nice to meet you Kath.

So, Sunday, 9am by the tiny yellow phone just inside Roehampton Gate. See you there Eldest.
Also (to all those who though I might be fibbing) just received the pictures from Destiny's Friday night train ride :-)
But surely I wouldn't be ungentlemanly enough to post them on the web... would I?
Anyone know who the nice man with the fries is?
P.S. Destiny - good news for you - I don't have a player for that video clip - phew!
BTW I'm deaf to Holly's taunting )
