What: Club night, interval or speed session required Why: Cos its Tuesday and I need more speed
Last hard: Sunday Last rest: Saturday
Blister, well run again (LLL too), another great chunk out of your 10K PB - still more to come. Get that interval/speed training going and your PB's will continue to come down.
Blisters, CONGRATS, it's always great to get a PB and it sounds like you had a cracking race.
BT, some of my ex-club mates, or is there another MM around?
What: 10M, starting steady, last 3-4M at threshold. (Yesterday did 7M easy but didn't get a chance to post). Why: To improve 10k time!! Last hard run: Sunday's rather lame race effort. Last rest day: Friday.
Why:Legs still achey after Saturday's half, Gin Pit 5 tomorrow evening.
Something of an eventful run this morning. Going along the canal towpath when I meet a man making frantic efforts to save a hedgehog that has fallen in. As I'm thinking it seems a bit over the top and futile, he tells me that his son drowned in the canal. As I continue with my run I remember reading of his frantic efforts to rescue his son, who had fallen through the ice, several years ago. He was eight years old. I can only imagine what was going through his mind this morning. Put's things into perspective doesn't it.
Morning all and congrats to blisters. Great race report. Rest day for me: steady 3 miles yesterday but dreaded knee pain returned. Managed to outrun it but will take things easy for a few days and run again on Thursday.
Blisters and LLL great races and impressive pb record!

Went to get my new med cert the other day (required here) and the doc just wrote it out without the usual blood pressure check and listen to the old heart. So I queried it and he just laughed and said 'Well, you are in even better shape than last year and it seems to me you are becoming addicted!'
What: Gym session - 32 minutes on concept rower, 2 minutes warm up then straight into 10 x 2 minutes hard, 1 minute easy, not using stirrups (to avoid working legs). - 4 x 15 seated rower - 4 x 15 chest press - 4 x 15 shoulder press - 4 x 15 lateral pull down - 20 minutes intervals on bike (staying seated to avoid working calfs) - 4 x 15 leg curls - 4 x 15 leg extensions - 4 x 20 leg press - 2 x 15 raised press ups - 2 x 10 staggered press ups - 4 x 20 lunges - 2 x 20 squats with weights 15 minutes intensive stretching.

BarnsleyRunner, could you please give me an idea of where the race starts. Its Worsbrough park or something, what do i pass en route from Doncaster? Cheers.
Stifler, you park at the Worsbrough Mill Country Park car park, just off the A61. If that is full, then the Button Mill Inn opposite or any of the side streets around.
Come from Donny down the A635 all the way to the Stairfoot roundabout (through Marr, Hickleton, past Goldthorpe on the left, Ardsley and drop down to the Stairfoot roundabout. 3rd exit signposted Worsbrough and A61 Sheffield. Up over the hill for a couple of miles then drop down the hill past Masons Arms on right until you hit the A61. Car Park just on your left.
