well you're down on the list as a maybe then nessie
really, i think it will be fantastic. imagine crowding the stands as one member of the forum outing after another, especially the first timers and doubly escpecially the slower ones, makes it to the finish line and takes the cheer
Hiya Mon, I just thought it was funny you running around hair matted from dancing sooooo much, people filthy from the muddy floor and in both hands a lovely bouquet lol !
I have only just got all the mud out of my toenails. Free beer and Brits is quite a lethal concoction. I was so proud to see everyone in our group in proper going out clothes rather than showy-off race t shirts and tracky bottoms, although wellingtons would have been more appropriate.
That's the spirit Dave, if there's anything to keep you going it's the support of friends out there doing it,. I am (obviously) no expert but most of the IM courses seem to consist of loops where you will see your mates.
When i'd nearly convinced myslef that this was a good idea......vomiting, collapsed bodies and 3 days recovery....kinda puts it all into perspective...
Unless you are a posing git like Nick... except it looks like he's going to show some self restraint and keep it to the one
to go with his one white gold mdot necklace, his mdot bike stickers, his mdot jumper, his mdot cycle top, his mdot gilet he bought for his girlfriend and the nodding mdog in his car
I mean, I was busy minding my own business over on FFF, WildWill mentioned a really funny thread over on Tri, and before you can say 2.5mswim/112mbike/marathon, I'm on the bl**dy possibles list for IMCH2005!
It would be shame to miss out on you lot doing Switzerland as the more people you have the better the atmosphere, however, I have done IMCH already and my aim is to do a different one each year so it may have to be France or Lanz as well.
We shall see. And the nodding dog is not for sale at any price !!!
This is a seriously expensive commitment...One that I honestly don't think I could afford.
I will give it serious thought though. It all depends on training over next 13 weeks for Loch Ness. If it goes well then I'll turn my attentions to Tri, do a Carl and commit. I need to get through long runs without shin-splints and other injuries before I can think about doing a near death event + pay for entry, weeks accom, kit and hardest of all convince The Countess.

Oh, I dunno, I think I might manage it in about 8 days...............
)
Serious food for thought.............

No tattoo yet Andy but not long now !!!!!
There will be more of us doing it in group than any of the proper Tri clubs.
Mon, my FCUK shirt is now FUC*ED from body surfing the sewer swamp.
Candy, have been thinking about that but taking it easy, if I plan to do 2 next year I am going to run out of places to put mdot tattoos !!
I'm off to McDonalds!
Luckly I'm well know for not drinking too much.

as we said - he's the merchandising champ
Discuss it at Tough Guy Candy?
