if it was me i would have been really clever about it and moved the letters around of my name and put up a picture of a giraffe. but i'm just not that imaginative. Jj manipulation is good, i do it all the time.
Six weeks' pain means you do need to go to the doc and get a referral to a physio. He/she may well refer you to a bone doc, but will certainly narrow down what's happening in there. But make an appointment tomorrow.
Also - how did you injure it? Was your neck involved?
Nick - trolls are in the Tri forum, probably waking up this morning with hangovers and feeling a bit stupid.
I had assumed it was some"one" playing jolly japes and suffering from a case of hijinks. Glad to see *they* have whittered away on their own with no one else rising to it.
yep thanks nick. i'm having problems with work email so if you send it to my home one, that will be just dandy. which i'm also having problems with. right, going out for a bike ride to see if my legs have started cooperating yet.
Jj it started as a 'normal' muscle soreness the day after moving a load of timber and building the roof to my new gym, but instead of subsiding over the next day of two it got worse so now i can't put my hand behind my back or lift anything above shouder height. bit of a pain when you're a roofer who works alone. well thats what it says on my cards 'the lone roofer' my sisters idea.
have been told by mates not to do anything for 2 weeks because they know what I am like but I am going to OW swim tonight and then start again, have entered the relays so need to do some speed work and the hilly 1/2 so off to the hill reps.
Just been down to the Crewe and Nantwich tri to support a few people and had a massage to be getting along with so feel even better now.
i cycled a bit today. might start training lightly from tomorrow - i feel pretty rested now. but beer raddled. i think i can get a day pass next sunday so i might come to tld.

Smithy, if it is you (and strangely I doubt it] I shall be very disappointed. [looks sternly over spectacles]
and I'll make sure I'm not wearing my cycle hat on Sunday.

....no it wasn't the me. The nerve of it.

Just interested. I'd hate to be a problem. I think.

there's no reason your legs would hurt more than just doing a marathon, and indeed they don't.
How'd that happen?
...though I guess you can't answer that if you've shut down.

...about 10 more downlaods to download then i can go out on my bike.
And she just said: 'when can I teach you to ride a bike?'
see?
It IS a conspiracy.
