Date: 21st April Food type: Moroccan Restaurant: Maghreb, 189 Upper Street Islington Pre-eat drinking/meeting location: Ongey is investigating (no pressure)
Still here, and still accepting the frightening responsibility of choosing pre-social rendezvous!
As it's Islington, and as Moomoo, the chief architect of the Morroccan theme, cannot make it, perhaps we should put off the theme? A brilliant Islington alternative is the New Culture Revolution, a fantastic noodle place that I've been whittering on about for a while. Ok point taken though that it's the same 'theme' as Wagamama's last time (but much better!)
Yo Ongey- me? Chief architect of Moroccan theme? I just provided the info, am not massively partial to that school of cooking, "ya atfal" You cough? Have coffee.
Whaddya think, Scotty, should we go anyway? ~~~shwing!~~~ to D.
P.s shame about the noodles last time, could repeat elsewhere some time as suggested by Ongey. Won't be here for Morrocan, but Lebanese-style mezze/barbecue etc would be great in future. (note to self: "must practise wiggles").
Annajo.- It wasn't successful because we all missed you ...
There, that wasn't so hard was it ;-)
I run past a pub that claims to be the oldest licensed building (dunno whether it's had the longest license or whether it just happens to be very old and now licensed) - I quite fancy that for the whole tourist thing.- ( Near My old dutch between Holburn and Tottenham Court road ). Possibles for some other time...
Morning all! Pre-meal rendezvous will not be a problem, I shall let you know on the week (or put another way, I will forget about it until the last minute and hurriedly find somewhere!)
Sezzy, how's the training going? I 'peaked' on Saturday (three long, solitary laps of Richmond Park), and now I'm tapering!
Dodge, any more thoughts on Spirit? I'm now getting all folky - been buying John Martyn albums.
My aren't I chatty this morning! Must be something in the air...
Erm, not good, pain in foot preventing me from running (or barely walking for that matter). Seeing physio tomorrow. Should be doing 12m this weekend but doubtful.
Oh dear. Where is it on the foot? Can you trace it back to any incident? It's good that you're seeing a physio though, he/she will immediately pick out the problem.
I wouldn't think about those 12m, you won't lose much. Leave training until you are clear, then resume with some steady miles (no fast/hill stuff!)
I know you don't want to hear this, but you need to consider deferring your entry if you're injured. Definitely you should be able to run something for over an hour trouble-free a week before the race.

I wondered about it for the first 30secs or so but then it actually sounded familiar so I may have heard it before.
Just because I like to keep a little boy in his place?

Well, that's thrown the cat amongst the pigeons!

Actually, I'm easygoing on cuisine, venue etc. As long as it doesn't involve me (and I probably speak for Sessy) walking too far!
3 weeks and counting...
))
The food stays unless there's an overwhelming vote against it. In which case the food stays and the forumites change.
Otherwise we'd never actually decide on a venue. We should do the noodle thing again but better as it was dissatisfactory.
Some other forumites though my picture was a green catterpillar. How ridiculous!
only kidding:-)
Scotty's still looks like an elephant having unnatural intercourse with a giraffe.
