Hospital appointment went well - no sign of the cancer I spoke for ages to a radiotherapy/oncology nurse and she has come up with a couple of suggestions to combat the stomach probs and will be ringing me on Thursday to follow up We'll see how things go
Being abandoned for Mother's Day weekend. LTJ is taking son to badminton internationals in Birmingham and Miss LTS is going to London with boyfriend to stay over and see a show. I'm taking my mother out for lunch on Sunday, after a run of course. May have to go shopping at Gunwharf Quay tomorrow to compensate!
Gunwharf Quay is a nice area to wander - shame that the weather probably won't be very nice.
Long time no post, and no time to catch up on what's happened. I've signed up for a couple of challenges - MArathon Talk Jantastic, which goes on till the end of the month, and a 'run every day in March' one. You only have to do a minimum of a mile a day, but I've clocked up 43 miles so far this month, so getting the mileage up despite the longest being 10 miles.
I'm being abandoned too - James, of course, is up north and Bradley will be working. I think I may go and buy myself a new cooker If I can get up that is!
Did parkrun this morning - 4 mins 4 seconds than the last one in 35.50 Get in!!!!! Its gradually getting better
Bought lots of stuff and went straight from train to yoga class, 30 min run on treadmill in gym, swim, jacuzzi and sauna. Now having large glass of wine. Mothers Day weekend not turning out too bad! Will run for an hour in the morning before taking my mum out to lunch - back to Portsmouth again!
Didn't parkrun this morning as I am just pooped. I was a bit tired before I did the speed session on Thursday night (which was excellent by the way) and yesterday I could barely walk home from work as I was so tired. I decided to have a very lazy day today. Hopefully I'll run tomorrow. I want to do around 3.5-4m as I have a 5 miler in a couple of weeks
Just realised it's only three weeks to Brighton Marathon. Guess I'd better start doing some training after all .............................................................................
I've got to run the mini-mile with my grandson LOL :P
I'll have to take him to the start then run the mile along side somewhere so that I'm there at the finish for him because I don't think anyone else will be getting off their @r$es to cheer him on. Mr L is going to try to be there but at the moment his back kills him when we has to walk any distance or if he has to stand around too much (Of course he's one of DiL from Hell's sons, that's why he won't have any home support )
If I check in to the Volunteers' tent first then I'll at least have my volunteers' blue t-shirt on so that will get me past any marshalls
Lynda - your grandson will have a great time running the Brighton Mini Mile. The smile on his face will be all worth it. I remember doing the Mini Great South Run with Andre.
If he likes running maybe you could take him parkrun.

Good news Roobs
Plan A didn't work out so we're on plan B now The stomach upsets are caused by the scarring from the radiotherapy

It's back now Roobs, was trying to show someone they could change their name!
LTS, shopping sounds a good idea
