OB and Tallbird - thank you . I hope I am not being too ambitious as I havent done a full yet but training a lot more than I have done for halfs , so we shall see .
I've realised Hippo dear that once you're in full walk/walk mode I've no chance of persuading you to run. You're walking pace though is seriously impressive. Oh and according to my diary I started walking at 15 miles and walked continuosly from 21 to 24 miles. I remember sprinting the last mile in 10 minutes!! Before that it was 10 miles in 80 minutes 13 in 1:44 and 20 in 2:50
Hang on a minute Hippo, what were you telling me before London? Anyway, if you like leave a can in my bag and I'll see if I can meet you with it at 20 miles (if you didn't realise, the 20 mile marker is just by the finish)
El Capitan - I did 4:19 at Paris a whole year ago after following the Hal Higdon Novice schedule. I have done more miles running up to the start of marathon training this time round, and am on the Intermediate programme so am hoping (injuries permitting) to go a bit faster.
I think my body is rebelling against the increased mileage though - everything is starting to creak, and I am reaching that point where I'm not really enjoying my running at the moment, all too painful.
Think I should take a few days off - I have a few in hand.

Mind you-my alcohol tolerance is so low I wouldn't have made it to the finish.
I did 4.19 in london too, and was aiming for 3.59.59! Maybe we'll go sub 4 at blackpool. Count me in.
