Sandy is hilly out through the sand-hills (miles 2-3) and then downhil back through them(miles 8-9). The first/ last mile and miles 4-8 are flat.
Ba-na-naman - yes this does tend to mean you should get a negative split.
I wouldn't think it is as hilly as Brands Hatch and because the up-hill is at the beginning and the down-hill at the end it doesn't affect your times as much as you might think.
Looking forward to this now as i have finaly got back into training, having done vey little between running woburn 10k and milton keynes half. Wont predict my time as it is my first official 10 mile race. Geoff race number 118 Return To Bletchley
Looking for about 81 minutes. I have run this four times and down 81 something twice and 84 something twice (and felt sluggish)
Don't know which Beast will turn up this Sunday. Usually somewhere around MRF pace and he has said 82-83 so that sounds right. I usually overtake him in the last 2 miles of races :-)

Managed 84' 03'' last year but I'm just getting back on my feet from flu and am nursing a coldsore so realistically looking at about 90'. I'll actually be quite happy to just get round.

The race is full, so there will be no entries on the day.
It should be a great race with 500 people due to start the race on Sunday.
Thought I would add a race target time to my name. It would be nice to see if others were aiming for similar time (so I can get a pacer).
Sorry for being slightly serious. I know it doesn't fit this thread very well.
Tracey G, Mooey - PBs? What are you aiming for?

I am at the 3 mile / 8 mile mark, said they wanted someone loud there to make sure the runners keep over ...... :0/ Dunno why they picked me?
I am meant to be going to a 40th birthday on the Saturday night, so it might be just 3 more sleeps for me
Hope this link works.

(wish I was running but having to do mother's day duty. Ah well, means someone else will have to come last this year)
.... and I bet you wouldn't be last.
Expect to hear your full heffort (groan)
Tracey - yes the forecast for Sandy is at least dry (supposed to be raining in Luton) but 20mph winds won't be good....
Please note the Race is now Full. No entries on the day (well according to their web-site which also has a list of entrants by the way).
