Thanks, Chimp. I was worried for a moment. DavidB - I was alarmed today to see a chopper in the window of a bar near where I work. Are you setting up shop in Baker Street??
Hmm. Google confirms it. See for example This "It works because mites have a sticky pad that helps them stick to the bee. The icing sugar makes it difficult for them to adhere and the sugar stimulates the bees grooming."
I went out for a 6-miler this evening, no rain at first, and once I'd got suitably far from home, it absolutely HAMMERED down. Nice rainbow afterwards though.
I just posted on the asthma thread about it because my medication was changed today. I did my first sub-13-minute mile today after using it the first time )) I'm still having to stick with alternating minutes though and don't think I'm up to extending my distance to much over the curretn 1.1 miles yet, so I've probably got many more trips round the block in the coming days!
Hippo - excellent! Me too. Mantra for the day: I like my cosmic self.
Tehuti - excellent too! I remember one of the things about first getting into it ... one day, you're walking somewhere, and the sun is shining, and you have this sudden urge you may never have had before to break into a run! Just for fun.
I have gone into terminal decline. Spent the morning hoovering for moths and it brought on the asthma. went for a run and took 11:56 for a stretch that normally takes between 10:45 and 11:30. Turned round and took 12:50 to get home. No apparent nreason as the breathing was OK and I had an easy run yesterday.
Must be old age or could it be liver failure (Hippo???) Medical advice needed.
I've decided that asthma means I absolutely cannot do hoovering, bedmaking, or ironing. They bring on the wheeze. (Can't prove the ironing one but I'm sticking to it).

I need a new target for Trentham 10 - between 1 and 2 hours it is then.

I keep visiting, and appreciating, your site BTW (and then I forget to say anything encouraging).
Was there something on the radio about preventing verroa by sprinkling bees with icing sugar, or did I make that up?
See for example This

Cable had problems all day, so was incommunicado.
Roger - Thanks for the July 4th wishes. What makes it even better is my son will be 21 on Sunday.
