The Oxford 10k is a nice race - you see lots of Oxford and it's lovely wandering round the city afterwards. I love Oxford, beautiful colleges and all that Inspector Morse connection. If you do it, we can meet up - I'm meeting up with another forumite when I'm there.
Nah, anger doesn't make you faster. Just makes your heart rate go silly.
If your theory holds, SVT, then I must be the most chilled out person on this thread, as I am a plodder (and quite happy to be so!). I love hearing about others' fast times, but get as much pleasure out of my slow times as I do out of hearing about you fast people!
I think it's more like ants and spiders here - lots of it, but very fine.
ST - the wonderful thing about running is that (for 99.9% of people) there is always soneone faster or slower than you, but you can always race against yourself. You can win, even in last place.

Am miffed that it's pi$$ing down today, which guarantees frizzy hair for me :-( All that time spent ironing it of a morning, wasted.....
Still, it's sunny in Scotland, so that's good for dude.
<leaves tea, coffee, toast and assorted preserves>
Done my run for the day so that's good.
ST - I'll just stick to water, thanks. Determined to get into those trousers.
Prickly hair - love it! Your daughter is destined for a career in creative writing.

And congratulations on a great run, dude.
(Relaxes now that 10k time is safe for a little longer.)
Maybe anger makes you faster, and we're all just too chilled.
