Hi all, I am thinking of entering this as prep for stafford half marathon. Do you know if there is anything for spectators to do whilst I plod my way around? My wife and son are coming to support me but some swings/playpark/tuck shop or shops would help them kill the time.
i drove past the bit were you cross into staffordshire for a little while today, the road was a foot deep and in water and that hill with the railway sleepers looked like a mud bath... he he he!
Well I'm out - hurt my achilles and have been forced to rest. Half marathon in March looking doubtful too. Really depressed as it was going to be my first.
Me too - enetered online saves trying to fine an large envelope .
All I need to do is get myself back to where I was before Sneyd Pudding 10 miler - 1;30 runs twice a week , I'm struggling at 1:20 , my wifes 2 -3 4.5 mile 13/m/mile jogs I do with her probably don't help but I've really got to push these miles out!
I had that plodding but now I'm getting leg problems , shins etc . I got new trainers too . I've cut back the miles to take into account the wifes 4.5 mile jogs and it is helping . I doubt I'll be going for a PB on this muddy course so at least I'll have that excuse for a slower time!
Plodding Hippo - it'd be nice to actually introduce myself and Mrs hawes on the day. I have met you in passing - you spoke breifly to Anthony A at the Sneyd pudding run.
