You looked focused and in control today geeem top man. I ran strong but the last 4 killed my feet .but good run . The grizzly for me next then start training for the wal with the exmoor ultra then the Cardiff ultra think I'm stalking you geeem ...
The Grizzly look ace, but sells out fast! Will see you at Exmoor - much as I enjoyed today, my forte is off-road, hilly stuff and I'm out to enjoy Exmoor instead of slogging it out.
You were all amazing, runners and marshalls alike. 40 runners, 2 DNF, 4 DNS and 11 pulled out in last week. Will be back to end of March next year so hoping that will attract more people and lead to less dropping out because of cold, man flu etc.
Can I thank you all again for making the race a success, I couldn't do it without all your calm heads as I flap around!
well thats next years entry in........go on jenf, you know you want to, also has anyone got a 'small' t shirt they want to swap for a 'medium' size, from this years run?
Just been out for first run a good 8 in the woods and got home in the light happy days spring is around the corner .hope to enter again end of month see when the grizzly is next year ..
had a great day thanks blakester thanks had a good few beers did 4 and a half last night did not feel too bad hope to enter again next year but wont know untill later in the year have to work around my job etc
After marshalling last year, I've just filled out and posted my entry form for next year. It will be my first ultra, I've no idea how I will cope with the training let alone the race! Any advice/tips all gratefully recieved.
Well done jenf , I followed a 50 mile training plan I found on trailrunevents.com website-the longest run you do is 28 miles but then 12 the next day. hope this helps.

Matt - glad you had a good day, great planning and organisation are the key and I've heard you did just that.
Hope to run your event next year, end of March should be much better for race conditions...i.e. warmer

thanks pinkbug. a few plans Ive looked at seem to do similar. I'll be starting my plan as soon as ive done Snowdon. lol
See you at Snowdon, though planning to do Llyn llech Owain parkrun in septmeber on route to Pembrokeshire for a holiday (and a half marathon).
Pinkbug, let me know when you're going Llyn llech Owain, I do it occasionally. Its a nice 5k route.
Any other newbie takers for the Ultra??
Entries a little slow this year so if you are considering it plz feel free to take the plunge, will be fun I promise (ish)
