Weedy - No, for london just enter the ballot when it opens. No signing up to anything prior is required. Just expect the ballot system to crash often on those opening few hours though!
As much as part of me wanted to run the "double" and join the Eggy, Audrey, Suze club - after seeing their little faces going past at mile 23 last Sunday - i've realised that i'm just not up for doing an "Emmy" sorry i mean a "Murdoch". I like the idea of preparing for a marathon properly and whilst i'd love to be framing up a London and Paris 2014 double whammy i am just not experienced enough over the distance to attempt such a challenge. Eggy however is, at 10 marathons plus, but even he says never again. I'll have to be patient and look forward to Berlin. the marathon is a mystical distance that i won't be attempting too often - maybe 10 more times in my life (maybe a few more than that )
i'll be going for a place in the London ballot. if i get in then i have some thinking to do. whilst the draw of London is big, Paris is a great course and i ran well there this year. Then i'll have to make a decision which one i do - hopefully i do one and my wife does the other! but i'll be at both in a runner or supporter capacity.
What i would say to those who have never done London is, if you get a place in the ballot, its a gift so you should do it deffo - once - tick the box, experience the crowd and one of the great sporting occasions. If you've done it, got the tshirt/medal - Paris in a lot of ways is just as good if not better and there are other great races dotted around the world that would be wonderful to run.
Well, unless ASO gave me duff information...London & Paris both on 13/04 next year.
Shame about the run one spectate one thingy - but its probably a good thing! Kind of exciting they are both going on at the same time! No doubling then for you crazy people!

I'm 5'6.5" in the house and 5'7.5 " when I put my running shoes on.
Running made me taller
And yay for fruit based smileys
Running the first, supporting the second.
I spose everything is possible. 2 marathons in a week.
Am definitely doing Pairs. But thought about entering ballot in London. Probably wont get in, but at least it's one ballot out the way.
In terms of running, hell no. Like DLR, I'd run one and support one. I'd never run two so close together again.
A bit daft. two in a week.
Have to say I'm tempted...
Anyone know if you have to register before applying like wot we did with ASO this year?
Iain - you still at Sunderland on Sunday? Might swing by and give you a cheer

I've been looking at the London Charity places and they say 13th April 2014????
Ooooh that would cause a proper stushie and no mistake....
I bet London will be on 27th April next year. It won't be on easter Sunday (20th)
It will be dissappointing if they are on the same day - supporting was just as much fun as participating.
where are these dates coming from...? Links please....
I've never known London and Paris be on the same day... they are usually two weeks apart, Paris being first, and only occasionally one week....
maybe it will be on the 13th: .....
