It's the first 'awwww, bless' I have had in response to my supporting
Looked a good event. Have got home and looked at the September date but it clashes with Challenge Henley. I may have to ask to be excused from Sherpa duties and enter this race instead
I'll be honest, didn't know what to say I was a bit bowled over! Wanted to try and find you after but my foot was bleeding everywhere. It appears I cut it at start of swim but foot was so numb I didn't notice. Thought it was a blister!
Spotted my first real life pirate at the oldbury triathlon last weekend. Felt a bit like a stalker so just clapped when they finished. Hopefully spot some more at the south cerney tri in June.

I now have an image in my head of someone wearing a waterproof jacket & wooly hat sitting at the entrance to transition writing down Pirate race numbers in a notebook!!
I saw a fellow wandering around Ocean Lake Sprint Tri on Saturday wearing what looked to be a pirate Hoody, he had his name on the back, something involving mushrooms? I was too busy freaking out after realising there were only 9 other women racing and they all looked professional to say hello. That and I'm a wimp.
Have I spotted some kind of pirate eye candy and failed to act upon it? He looked like a man who could run a triathlon if he wanted to. I have no idea if he did or not. I think he was there with a man who was planning to do IM Wales this year - I spoke to him on the run, I'm ok with approaching strangers while they are trying to run away from me, but not pirates.
Stumbled across Meface early this morning up near Ranmore Common, Chatted till box hill and then parted our ways. He was doing some ridiculously long sportive today. Lovely weather for it though.
HI Melds, no I'm Beavering next weekend - it's on Saturday, but I don't think I'll be up for an early start on Sunday.
I was a fair bit slower than last year today, so Bassy and Flyaway were probably way ahead. And as I started a bit late too, they'd probably packed up and gone home by the time I arrived back at base.
OC - didn't realise you were there too. How did it go, and what does Kona-7 mean?
6:02 ride time and a 6:05 chip time - 12 mins slower than lanza on a shorter route - this is a bit of a beast Happy though as I got my best 60 min power for the year.
oh and the -7 means 7 more IMs to do to get into kona by the back door like Barley, (although the requirements will move by the time I get there!) Shame outlaw does not count as it would be down to -5 by July

That was a cracking day. If a little hilly. Good effort Meface (a) for being first in the queue for signing up on the day and (b) for doing that time. Respect. I took a more leisurely approach!

If he was doing the C100 then he has gone very wrong
Don't think there were many pirates at the C100 - it was good to see Slim again, grabbing a burger at the finish!
Good conditions, but my rear mech cable snapped about five miles from the end so the last two hills were a bit of a struggle on the little cog...
Pirate at Fambridge today?
Good going Joddly ... you up for Tour de Vale on Sunday?
Think Bassy & Flyers were there today as well
KT, where on earth is Fambridge?
hey joddly -
saw slim at the start but either never caught him or he was in the bushes somewhere?
missed you totally but I was an early starter.

Aha - I get it! Good time today OC.
Melds - working tomorrow, but we must catch up soon .
Fambridge Half in Essex today. Small race...not quite lanza
Ahaa ...in that case, could have been Flatfooted or Slag if it were male
Saw Funkin on his nice new bike, he dropped me on box hill - very easily.
Saw PSC at the start of the King of the Downs Evans sportive. 117miles (100s are so last year) with 6000ft ascent.
very hard day and took me 7:47
saw Shaz at the end.
so three pirates seen.
We havent seen Shaz round these parts for ages
Good sportiving effort
