I'd keep an eye on it though, as it seems to sell out faster each year. Although that said, they did release about 100 places only a month or two before race day. If you are prepared to train anyway, I think you can gamble on a last minute place if necessary and if you watch all the appropriate social media for updates.
Sort of, the two dots after the M are one for an IM and one for a Challenge and then one after the O for the Outlaw. I got another IM on Saturday but I'm thinking that M...o.use is just going to look stupid.
I wouldn't worry about typing all the silly dots either, Mouse is good enough.
Think there must a bug on the website, because it took all my details and then took all the payment details and then sent me email saying it was confirmed.
Stop it you lot!! Everyone on twitter and facebook is tempting me to enter...I should wait till IMUK is out of the way. That would definitely be the sensible thing to do...

Remember its Lanza so normal rules dont apply,so the sensible thing to do is enter now
Haha!! I guess I'm going to be having a conversation with OH and coach then...
They're two different people by the way...
In all seriousness, having been on the island for a week long camp in February, there's something special about the island that's not like anything else I've experienced.
You feel it when you land till the moment you leave - the island gets a kind of hold on you and you know you'll be back again.
It also makes the prospect of racing there mean a lot more than the other options for me next year, which would be IM Austria, Germany or Switzerland.
One disadvantage is it's early so you have to train volume through the winter, but the advatage is that it's also over early in the year and I can spend summer with the kids.

That is so true been going there since 2000 and cant wait to go back
Haven't even done my first IM yet ... although "Fancy a week in Lanzarote?" might be more attractive to the OH than "Fancy a weekend in Bolton?" this year....

Any idea how quickly the 2013 event sold out?
I don't think I entered until August last year, Pudge.
Ah, thanks for that M..o.use.
Our of interest, is there any significance to the dots in your name? I'm guessing you have two ironmans and an outlaw to your name perhaps?

Please can someone take my computer away from me...
If I'm not careful I might end up doing something stuuuuuuuupid like entering!
Being a redhead, the heat is NOT my friend and this would be suicide
But it is very tempting....
Hmmmmmmm
not that i am considering it or anything ... but no registration links for 2014 on the IM lanza site yet
Note that I'm looking but yes there is
http://www.ironmanlanzarote.com/registration
No enter button yet though
yes there is - http://regonline.activeeurope.com/Register/Checkin.aspx?EventID=1241110
there is now ... pondering commences
Well im in for 2014 little matter of Frankfurt in 6 weeks to do first
Good luck in Germany, have a great race.
Thanks Ironholgs
somehow I just seem to have entered
don't know how that happened
strange that happened to me as well

Still don't know how or why
I too seem to have suffered from one of those momentary lapses in reason.
I'm in.

I'm no good at heat, hills or headwinds...but I'm already signed up to go back to Lanza for a camp in March 2014...the Fire Devil is calling me...
Neither am I and I managed to drag my sorry arse around for a medal, and you Sir have been to the island, klnow the course, conditions etc.....
Do it
Nice bit of peer pressure there!
I'm already impressed by anyone who would even consider doing this
It's Tim, he's a Tri-talk veteran, he thrives on peer pressure.
I told my OH the registration was open and he's now trying to bully me into doing it.... I think he's just showing his sadistic side...
Well that's ok then... GO ON TIM DO IT!!!

Totally agree...and my OH agreed to Bolton...
Premier Inn at the Reebok, or All Inclusive at Playa del Carmen...
