Dont worry about it, these things happen I guess, I thought Raf had told me left, right which I think I followed, then got to a t-junction, went right for a bit, stopped for a bit, then turned back and waited at the t-junction. It was at this point it started peeing down so I decided to press on.
Gutted mate, was our stupid fault, but to be honest mate, we a called it early anyway as it was tipping down, have too come out again maybe when the weather is not horrendous nice too we you anyway
I was up with the larks, dragged family out and drove to Leeds for a Uni visit for the eldest Blistette. Am now residing in a mate's house, slightly woozy, but training for the 5th discipline. To be honest, the weather has been great up here. Sorry.

bastard ..... another long ride for me tommoro... is it sad im excited already
I doubt i can make another due too super secreat training.... On a serious note i wont be able too as races etc, and if i go over that course again before the race ill be bored... The sportive i did yesterday went there as well....
Can't do racing British champs next day saaaaaaawwwwrreeeyyy .... If you want you can come too mine on Sunday and ride too the course with me... I'll take you up a killer hill which will make you cry blood if you like!
I'm planning a little outing on Monday evening around the Iron Man Wales/ Long Course bike route in Pemrokeshire. That could be interesting for future reference.
Blisters - what time you thinking of getting there? I'm happy to ride round with you, but need to be home by about 12:00, which means leaving Henley at 11:15
How long does the route take? Dumb ass question, sorry. If it's just over 2 hours for once round, then 0900 is latest start from Starbucks. I have a 2 hour drive to get there in normal traffic, but it should be quiet. It sounds like it's a tight schedule for me, but doable. However, there may not be enough slack in that schedule for you.
Blisters, I was planning a long ride on saturday avoiding the course for a mental break from it, but am happy to meet up and show you round one loop of it if you like ? but you will have to put up with me being slow by some of you guys' speedy standards
Cat - that was my plan for Sunday anyway. Was thinking up through Maidenhead and Cookham, then drop down to Marlow to the bit where the run/bike course meet??

Did some of that last Saturday. Very nice, especially the view of the lakes from Winter Hill and the descent down Quarry Wood hill . Bound to be a nice pub somewhere too.
Cat - Race starts at 7;00, so they should be out on bike by 7:45, which means getting back in off bike around 10:25 - 10:45. So if you fancy cycling up together, I reckon its 20 miles from here, so if we met at the start line for the Wokey-cokey at 9:00, we should get there to see them finish the bike and start the run??? Wearing black and yella??
I am canning my proposed Saturday trek round the course due to the deafening silence. Therefore, on the day I shall swim slowly. Change slowly. Then hunt down a trail of carbon bikes that point the way through the course. If I end up in Stafford it means I missed a turn around point but will have done the appropriate mileage.

Would like to get a two-lapper in asap as my weekend schedules are looking tight! (Only 10 weeks to go...gulp) What say you, weird internet friends?
Saturday 6th July
UB
Sunday 7th July
UB
Saturday 13th July

Sunday 14th July
UB
avoid next weekend as it's Regatta week - I made the mistake of going through on friday and it was a bliddy nightmare!
( and 14th july is Marlow Half Iron, which uses part of the course )
It would be great toas ample the delights if Henley again !
I can't do the weekends 13/7 or 20/7 as am on holiday (not that this should stop you !)
I can sometimes be flexible with diary so could possibly meet mid-week if this is any use to anyone
So Saturday 13th July then?
I have started to work on permission.
I'll keep an eye on what you lot are planning but doubt I'll be able to make another weekend recce.
I doubt i can make another due too super secreat training.... On a serious note i wont be able too as races etc, and if i go over that course again before the race ill be bored... The sportive i did yesterday went there as well....
You can never do too much on-course training.

Who else?:
