The churchbell strikes the hour of noon In the village on the hill And across the fields and meadows echoes a thin silver note To the ears of Wilfred Weasel Seated at his artists easel, as he waits for inspiration In his floppy hat and coat
Brush in hand and palette ready As it's been since half past eight Empty canvas indicating Inspiration sleeping late
But so the bell notes fade forever Conjured up and left behind In a blinding flash! A vision, clear as crystal in his mind
With all the style of Leonardo And daring use of green and blue, Deft strokes tell a moving story... "Gone To Lunch And Back At Two"
Can any of the IMFR veterans recall if the route was marked on the road in France ? I seem to recall seeing proper metal signs that looked as if they were there all year round ? I'm hoping to do some of the course on my hols....

Feck me that has just brought some memories back!
Oh helllloooo stranger!
Are you coming to Nice then? Another coat for Mouse to hold?
Morning,
I remember what Nice did to me the last time we all went there! I only drank one beer the day after the race.....
Well that sounds like a good enough reason to come along!
I'm sure Mrs. GOM would like a llittle holiday with us all again. It's been Aaaaages!
I'd imagine she's so excited by the prospect she'll have already packed her bags!
Its about time GOM came out of retirement I think!
Yes. Retirement is SO last year.
nope - 2011 actually....
I think I should just come along, drink beer, eat good food, and hold coats!
Oh behave yourself!
Hop aboard. I need someone to compete for 'grumpiest pirate' with
I don't know what you mean, everyone knows that I have a happy go lucky attitude towards life.............
GOM - I'm willing to share my coat holding duties with you?
Mouse - I'm not sure I could live up to your high standards of coat holding these days
GOM - I'd be willing to share my training tips in the run up to the race.
Since it'll be hot and no-one will need a coat, maybe you two could fit in a little swim-bike-run to stop you getting bored?
Cougie - yes, there are permanent signs. And water fountains in a lot of the villages.
Training and practicing the route before hand !!!
Isn’t that cheating
He'll be learning how to swim next

Entries are trickling in nice and slolwy so we have plenty of time yet
