Gently working my way up tin e distances and now making my wife nervous about looking at the longer stuff.
But the question is - do you frown on folks running in the Pirate kit if they haven't yet completed a long course?
Main target next year is Olympic distance (incuding the Castle Series at Chantilly) and then 1/2 in 2015 with main eye on doing local iron distance here in North Norfolk the year after . . .(shhh don't tell me wife!!) and I really fancied running under the club colours.
I've looked at local clubs and they just don't flick my switch . . .
So, sorry if it's a dumbass question but if you want to know any more about me and what I'm upto then please shout.
I'll be hiding behind the couch now . . .
Cheers,
Andy
Hi I am also doing Chantilly..see you there, I wont be In Pirates kit as I missed the order cut off..
Hi, fellow Norfolk bod here and there's a few more around who haven't posted yet Not a native but after 35 years I am now allowed in pub I have not completed an ironman yet either, going to have another crack in 2015 but not deciding where until later next year.
Thought about the Anglian in Cromer?

Excellent!! I'll be the slow one huffing along at the back of the field!!
Currently riding a Battaglin - weighs as much as the Queen Mary . . .
A Masters? That's even worse! 4 years and still feck all use!!
(And dont think you are the only one round here with a Masters! Black-Scholes anyone? )
Ooooh. You know theories too?! Next time you should pick one that's relevant to the discussion like me...
EDIT: Pop quiz (for sad b*stards or those who want Engineer brownie points): Which effect (also named for its two namesakes) explains why I got cold hands when Gladys got a flat tyre?

Sorry to bring the tread back to the original post
Never bring the thread back to the original post
In london to there are no chuffing hills in london?
Tower Hill, Notting Hill, Highgate Hill to name but three
Primrose Hill, Strawberry Hill.
I also ride a triple... in London.
but then again I also have a bright pink bike!
Never own up to having a pink bike
Ok.. noted

Of course - beer!!!

Don't kid yourself. Just cos I didn't say anything doesn't mean I didn't see it. And remember; revenge is a dish best served cold
The Kit Farty sees all
Sorreeeeee Fairy
I'm gonna get the blame for this ain't I?
Even I don't need a triple. Engineer. Really? What, is the big one a 56 or something?
Ha ha, that will be Whyteleaf strava section...you sprinted that first section really fast...
Gladys and me were already grinding squares by then IIRC
That's because he had a triple!
This thread. (and the countless other ones full of nonsense!)
This is why I love being a Pirate!
It reminds me never to ask an engineer to help change a flat tyre. 3 years of uni, countless hours of study, Feck all use on a simple wheel though.
I'm sure it's one of the basic rules of cycling that you never ask for help changing a puncture unless your name is Saffers.
I get sarah to change mine she's able to do it in about 20 seconds.
Err cockney guys those arn't hills just undulations dressed up to sound good. Come up here some time and I'll show you a hill.
I know I'm clever mate (Dunning-Kruger anybody?) but I didn't finish a Masters in 3 years

Masters? Pah, amateurs.
Never heard of Dunning-Kruger before. After reading, it's so obvious.
My Masters thesis is in a cabinet next to me, almost complete, and about 9 years overdue. Feck.

Is it the Idle-Bastard Effect?
Co-authored by Eric Idle and Vyvian from the Young Ones?
That's the one; I'm a sufferer
Standard gearing, but with a 24 for when I hook Flat Footed up in the trailer.
I'm a sad b*stard, sad enough that we usually just shorten it to JT.
