Just 90 more runners for a full house, What a great effort by the runners world forum 117 to date. 3 years ago we started with 300 runners on a very windy day 36mph to be exact and the race has grown nice and slowly to I hope 500 entrants. If possible for the 2014 event could you all car share a parking is tight and we want to get you all in.
Hi Alan, yes, we're all good mates. Paul will be going for around 1.18, I'm hoping for 1.21 as I build for Manchester marathon, Andrew will hoping for around 1.27. looking forward to the post race hotpot!
It would be great to see you all get those times, as all times will go on power of 10 and run britain hopefully as PB,s. So keep the training going and keep fit over christmas and I'll see you all in the new year.
reasons for entering again ; the hotpot , I enjoyed the race this year and a bit of race loyalty. lots of people gave up their time to put the race on this year !
Happy new year to you all, hope christmas has been good and not left you to much over weight. Just over 2 weeks now so lets get ready and see lots of PBs.
All the food ect is ordered but we have a bit of a problem, runners world hav'nt put an option for your hot pot choice so please can the 144 entries from runners world email me with your option which is meat or veg hot pot. See you all on the 19.
What`s your email address Alan? (It`s a veg for me!)
Not done many long runs since Preston 10, where I ended up doing 15, and managing a couple of niggles at the moment too but we`ll see. Don`t think I`ll be attacking my PB tbh.
I entered a few days ago. My brother was meant to be doing it aswell but me might bottle it!. I've entered as part of my build up to the London marathon. Last years quickest time for me was 79.30 but don't think I will be knocking out that kind of time. I believe the course is pretty flat?. I had planned to do the Carlisle 10k but its on the same day so decided to get some longer miles knocked out.
If anyone who has entered this event and can no longer do it please post a thread on here and let people know as I have had to say no to 80+people. and you might aswell get your money back. I don't mind changing the numbers till the 9th of jan so long as I get your details and the persons details who you are letting have your place.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAR SHARE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
And don't forget that a lady called Dee Clarke is running this for a charity to try and raise ??69.000 for a young boy to have false legs made for him till he is a teenager as he lost them to meningitis so please bring just ??1 EXTRA and put it in the collection bucket at registration.
Alan - great support by you at the Central Lancs Half yesterday. Think I saw you twice, at mile 3-4 and at HMS Inskip. Great to see the enthusiasm you bring to the local running community.
Cheers Max it would have been very hard for the back runners as it was fairly cold, and a few of them were getting a bit sorrowful on the hill just after 10 miles so I put a bit of music on as loud as possible and it seemed to pick there spirits up so job done.
I was out for just over 2hrs and managed to get to 4 points to support at 2.5, 7 ,10 and 11.5.
I completely messed up and missed the deadline, so would really appreciate the opportunity of a spare number if anyone has one - done it the last 2 years but somehow missed entering this year.
Hi Alan. Top supporting. I am signed up for Inskip and gearing up with a few easy miles this week before a few quicker miles start of next week. If we can have a wind free day then I think it could be a good run this year. If it blows then I will tuck in and get to the end

Well pleased for myself and the team of friends and family who give there time to help me put this great event on over the last two years. I only found out last night that we where voted one of the top 10 half marathons by runners world in 2013 and lets hope we can make it in there again so thankyou one and all.
Guy who was going to get number off my mate has gone and entered another race on same day!!!!! Anyway I know others had interested but didn't save any details. Please PM if still interested
