Ah, right. Never read the books or watched more than 5 20 minutes of any of the films. An ex once tried to make me watch all the films, 20 minutes later she insisted I buggered off and did something else...
Quiet in the cheap seats! Todays run/walk indicated I need to do more time on the feet think the tank wasn't quite full still from stupid manflu which has hampered things training wise.
Ah, I'm out I'm afraid SHAPE ??* MERGEFORMAT been carrying an injury for a few weeks now ( I think ITBand) but managed a 19 mile run last week so thought I might have an outside chance.
But...just had to bin a planned 21 miler at 18 miles with the rear of my leg seizing solid ( that's a new one for me!) and shooting pains in my hip which bought me to a stop which is extremely rare for me on a training run when I have a target.
My right leg has been a problem for me for about 2 years now..it's like living with leg ache almost constantly. I have been to a physio who says there is an 'imbalance' in my hips and very weak glutes which have led to this state of malaise.
Doesn't normally effect Ironman as I'm too busy puking up and staggering along to give my glutes much thought SHAPE ??* MERGEFORMAT
But ..I think my Ultra career has ended before it started

You've only got to make it as far as the canal. Then I'm throwing you in.
If I have a dry suit I can float to London probably beat you there
Are we running by a canal or the river
Anyone know the route ??

Those of you that have run this before.... how well marked is the route?... or, more importantly, how much will I need to be prepared to navigate?
