Yes BT, see you there! I shall watch you and Snail speed off into the distance, as I gingerly try to stick to my 5:30/km pace. At least, I think that's what it was.
Hippo, how's the gin?
Chimp, thanks for the tip. I shall be counting on you encouragement and imput when things get really sh!tty and depressing during the final denouement.
Ah ha! A non-forum medievalist friend of mine has agreed to do the Town and Gown as well! So, I shall have to explain to her why two complete strangers start calling me Hildegard....
congratulations on the promotion, bad luck on the knee and the work, meerkat.
Since I started my "new" job last September, I have managed to make Weds night on precisely 2 occasions. Might as well renounce membership. Have you been along at all, or has your knee been a problem for some time?
I'll be cheering you all on from around the 5.5 mile mark (wherever the end of my road is!) - though I'll prob try to make it over to 18 miles as well. depends how pissed I get I guess.
didn't help that I had several glasses of wine, a glass of marsala and 4 amorettos the night before the race. F*** knows how much I had the night after.
Think I'd moved into self-destruct mode by then.
ho hum.
so - maybe see you at FLM then?
I'd better go now - running to work tomorrow. Might try and sneak one more glass of wine in... Mr Snail's already gone to bed so wouldn't notice!
Hildy, think I missed you at mile 18 on Sunday although I did arrive very late! I know Snail was dissapointed not to meet up. Are you still running Oxford Town & Gown 10K? If so we must say hi before or afterwards!
must read some more of my massage books soon & practice!!!
