exactly, he's been electronically stalking some people. ignoring people like that doesn't stop them believing that they have some sort of relationship with you, or stop them going through your bins, or convince them to go elsewhere and get a life
If you look at what McG posted earlier you will see that ro has ways of drawing people in. He has a "method" and a shrewd idea of which people will be hooked by it.
ACW, if you're still around, no one made me God but that doesn't stop me from expressing my opinion about someone who is more than just the tosser he presented himself as on here. I fail to see what having someone like that adds to your experience/enjoyment of this site or any other.
Yep, LL: he's a bit of a "divide and conquer" sort of bloke, get some people for him and some against.
And after a day or two of posting contentious stuff, he'll post a few innocuous "All the best"s and "Good luck"s, so he can say "What? Me a troll? The very thought!"
And I do feel angry with myself for believing anything he had to say.
Don't feel angry McG. I was lucky I saw something URR posted when ro first arrived. It showed what he had been up to on another forum. All the same sort of stuff. Its what ro does for his own amusement. We should have boinged that thread from URR every single day so that everyone saw it.
I'm glad he's gone - just on the basis of what he posted. If he's been emailing people abusive stuff then that's more serious and you can't mess about giving warnings if he's doing stuff like that. Lot's of us say silly or unintentionally insulting things on here but he seemed to be deliberately disruptive - if you've got someone like that in your house you'd ask them to leave - which is all Sean has done.
Can someone fill me in on what he's actually been doing please - I'm curious about just how far he went ?
did he say he had wife and kids? probably some random teenager who has a bit of knowledge and spends his days trolling forums all over the internet for amusement
I just thought he was a bit of a knob and a fairly unsubtle troll - but practically the first time I saw a post from him he got flamed to bits by people I'd never seen say anything remotely nasty to anyone before, so I was very cautious of him after that. now it all makes sense.
Very true Jj - its one of the great things about the forum - there are plenty of smart people on here - and lots of very different ones too, which means that if you post frequently enough, whatever you try to be, someone'll generally have a pretty good idea of what you're really like.
Well, I dunno. I thought he was a knob from the start and just ignored him. Getting rude emails is no big deal either, just delete them. It's unpleasant but hardly the same as being stalked.
Trolls are easy enough to spot. Just don't feed them.

I'm sure he's aching to *say* something, in that inimitable, and yet irritating way of his.
I'm *sure* I don't know *what* you mean *McG*.
I'm of the current tinking that a butterfly fluttering by would amuse him no end...

here here candy.
It's important that we trust our community, innit?
I trust me, for example.

Just been one of those days.
