23 April. My birthday and I treated myself to a nice long run across the hills by my home twon up here on the East coast of Bonnie Scotia. Imagine a guid Scots man born on St Georges day.
I think you're both too hard on yourselves - you work huge hours yet are doing 3 marathons in 3 months, and barnsley runner thinks he must try harder 10 days after the flm when he's had an infection.
Congrats on your race anyway BR, know what you mean about the booze, I'm on the wagon now until the next Bank Holiday (OK, that's not too long really).
Just checked date of my fell run, got it wrong, it's 3.5 weeks away phew. How do you know the Blands BT? Anne Bland is my local inspiration as Pete B told me she only took up running in her mid-thirties, and she still holds two of the vet records for Coniston14 amongst others.
Yeah, we can copy and paste this daily thread and bombard your email address with it all until you relent. In fact `Give us this day our daily thread' is my new prayer.
It sounds like it was your teachers had the problem, not you.
Just think of coming on here as having therapy hippo. You're able to tell us all the crap bestowed on you through school and get it off your chest healing yourself in the process as you realise you aren't crap and are a runner like the rest of us!!
hippo -- the training thread is for people who are training - regardless of where they're at with speed/distance (you should see some of my 'training' posts). So you stay right where you are
Well the club run tonight did not turn into the eyeballs out session I feared. Just as well really as my HR was at tempo run pace for most of it whilst doing 7-30 miling.
Still the remnants of this throat infection but will keep bowling along.
