Heavier rain now - and the wind has got up. Just heard that the road that has been closed since the flooding 6 weeks ago, which reopened at 6pm last night, is closed again due to flooding!
I can't see anything now - I've had to close the blind because, get this, the sun has come out. I want to go home now for my run round the park, sadly I have another 3 hours of this to go. I must go do some work.
Thanks Gaz and Caz. Update on my view - there's a man washing his car at the petrol station. Exciting stuff.
Guess I'd better do some work now, make the afternoon go quickly. Swimming lesson at 6pm tonight. (I can do a few strokes without the floats now). Would they let me do a triathlon with armbands on and stabilisers on my bike? Yep. I can't ride a bike either. Six brothers and not one of them taught me. Still, it's never too late .....
Raingirl Not any more but my wife & I both worked at Moorfoot in the 80s/90s and I remember having a similar view (sadly for her she's a Wednesdayite so she never enjoyed the view - did enjoy a great Bruce Springsteen concert at Bramhall Lane though).
What window? You lucky people that can look out of your window and see something. My desk faces a wall and if I look left, right and behind me I see more walls. So by next week when the clocks change I will leave home in the dark, return in the dark and work all day and see nothing of the daylight. Oh how I hate the winter. Think I need to put a nice sunny picture on my desktop.
Our Wednesdayites aren't so keen on it either! One of them has come all the way from Oz to support them too - he must be mad.
Speedy G - no one should have to work with no window. Having said that I used to when I worked for the Council - I used to have lots of nice pictures up of beaches & sunsets. I still have - nothing like a nice beach picture to brighten up the day.
Hi speedy.Wish I didn`t have a window. Out of mine I can see my oh so annoying, irritating, mad, unhinged, crazy, paranoid, wind up merchant, difficult, problematical, obsessed etc,etc (did I mention possibly vindictive?) neighbour.
snails' pace, I would need a mirror to see that lot :-(
As it is I can see some nice window boxes with geraniums in them to the left, and a jewellry workshop to the right. If I stood up I could see a greasy spoon cafe as well.
Here in County Durham the rain has stopped and the sun is trying to break through, leaves everwhere, great...... So I walked to shop to take DVD back, 2 mile round trip, lovely day !!!!!!
Feel much better for it, save petrol as well, would have run but saving myself for 10 miler tomorrow.....
well through the round window i can see the carpark but through the square one on the left i can see straight into a room of the flat opposite. Maybe i should move my computer
the first thing I see is Sugar, my office cat who is sitting in the window looking out at the millstream (I work in a converted mill) which is rising rapidly. It has a tendency to flood without too much provocation but thankfully I'm on the first floor. There is a lone male swan there (which is really what Sugar is looking at)and the willows overhanging still have their green leaves but most other trees are now turning to their very nice autumn colours.
Thanks SB for sharing that. I can see a car park, some waste ground, an industrial estate, an old aircraft hangar, and yes it is blue sky, just a break in the clouds, maybe I won't get soaked on tonights run after all.

Might just go to the gym tonight.

Some of these are excellent to brighten up a dull desktop - and everyone asks if you've been there!
Pretty useful to forget to copy the link in!
